| Rated 4 out of 5: I Sttayed at he Grange Blooms Hotel for two nights May 9&10th 2010. On arrival it appeared to be a very beautiful georgian house which (in my opinion) highlights some of the natural history of London. The hotel was clean the staff were friendly, although some of them were not able to understand English. (without Predjudice). The room allocated on arrival was the Pickwick Room which was one of the Executive elux rooms. Very plush. Small bathroom but perfect for one. Molton Brown products on display which was impressive. I have two slight gripes about this place. First one is that i contacted reception for room service however was told that someone would call back, and they never. The second gripe was that at breakfast (Which was wonderfull with a fabulous selection) the waiting staff offered u toast and a cooked breakfast before you had even been seated with cereal etc. I found this slightly over ambitious and at times rushed. However, i would highly reccomend this hotel and i would consider staying there again. No free wi-fi the hotel were going to charge ?15.00 which i find over inflated! Rated 5 out of 5: Liked: The service of your receptionist was excellent and warming. I had requested a specific room overlooking the court yard and got what I asked for. After realizing that there is a room "002" directly on the court yard I asked if I could see the room and without hesitation I was able to change no questions asked and no quarms. Disliked: Ice service:-( Apparantly ice service was on at 6pm and I was out and about until late hours and would have loved a cold drink. Overall: Wonderfull comfortable!! Rated 4.5 out of 5: Have stayed hear before - a small, smart boutique hotel. Quiet location in Bloomsbury, a short stroll to Russell Square, British Museum, Oxford Street & Soho bars & restaurants. Staff were professional, polite & efficient. We were given a free upgrade (presumably because it was a Sunday and the hotel was quiet). The room was quiet and smartly furnished. Could have benefitted from a little t.l.c., with holes in wall where small shelf had once been plus missing robe hook on bathroom door. Breakfast was not included and is very expensive as an additional cost. Would stay again when the room rate is attractively priced. A guest gave the hotel 4 out of 5 and said: I just stayed 4 delightful days at the Blooms. It has a great location by the British Museum and the staff were superb. I arrived at 8 am after a long flight and they put me into a room right away. They were very helpful and the wonderful conceirge booked me theater tickets and arranged a sightseeing tour. When it rained, they went to the curb and got me a taxi. The rooms were small but cozy and they had nice touches like a fruit bowl. They loaned me an adapter and carried ice to the room for me. The breakfasts were adequate. Overall, what really sold me was the wonderful staff. They were helpful, friendly and willing to go the extra mile. I would definately recomment this hotel. |
