Stayed here having originally booked for their sister hotel the Beauchamp, but was moved due to a problem at that hotel. Was upgraded to an Exec room. The room was spacious, well equipped and clean ( except the net curtains which were well overdue a wash)
I only paid ?85 and therefore I really can say this represented excellent value for money. Limited room service menu but the food I had was hot and enjoyable -staff freindly and helpful. Would recommend at this sort of price but certainly not worth their quoted tariff of ?200 plus per night

I stayed one night in the Clarendon Hotel and was very pleased overall. The greeting I received when checking in was pleasant, friendly and helpful, and I even received a free room upgrade.
My room was on the third floor and overlooked the garden at the back of the hotel. My room was spacious, clean, light, tastefully decorated and well appointed, with a modern looking bathroom that had a decent bath/shower with good water pressure.
I had a continental breakfast included with the cost of my room, and there was plenty of choice of cereals, meat, cheese, bread and pastries and all seemed to be of a good quality.
Location-wise, the hotel was situated very close to the British Museum and the tube station was an easy walk away.

Liked: Clean with good decor
Disliked: Strange and strong smell towards the room (sort of like damp!) Breakfast ?20+ is a discgrace - that has to be 1000% mark up!!!
Overall: Good hotel - would prefer a room away from the road next time as it was noisy and it would be nice if we could have had breakfast in the hotel but not at that price!

Rated 3.5 out of 5 :
The room was fine. However felt quite stressed prior to arrival as was left mobile message and asked to confirm booking. Spent over 1 and a quarter hours trying to get through. No pick up. Had to go through central bookings instead! Breakfast ridiculous tariff of ?23 per person. Ate down the road in good surroundings for third of cost. Complimentary newspaper didn't arrive Bed very comfortable. Great place to stay if the company is forking out but too expensive for the average , especially the Convenient for theatre and covent garden.
