check in was easy although all workers were foreign with an accent quite hard to understand. If I asked a question, had to explain in a few different ways.
Was given a free room upgrade to an Executive suite, very impressed. Room extremely spacious, huge bed, all facilities stated were included and Molton Brown toiletries.
It was right outside St Pauls cathedral, room didn't have a view but can't complain as the room itself was brilliant.
Room service was good and available at night. Downfall was my room did not have a phone but a guide with lots of telephone extensions! I rang reception using my personal mobile and the man with a foreign accent said there should be a phone, came up and nope there wasn't then took our order there.
On the Sunday night, the last night of our stay, there was a water leak from the room above near the door. As soon as we rang reception, someone was sent and it was fixed immediately.
Overall the hotel was clean, the staff came and cleaned the room every morning and left new toiletries too. Very impressed!

I have just come back from a fantastic weekend with my wife and our 2 best friends who were London virgins.Choosing a hotel is by no means an easy task when so many are available that all seem to offer the same.I still dont really know why i choose this one (i was the one forced to make the decision and therefore the one who would ultimatley live or die by the decision),and im happy to say that i am alive so my choice was obviously the right choice!
I booked the stay as part of a package which included top priced tickets to dirty dancing and madame tussards and paid just shy of ?500 which for a couple i thought was for london more than reasonable.
A fair few of the reviews on this site about this hotel mention problems with staff well all i have to say on that matter is that it must have been they with the problem as ALL the staff we encountered were fantastic and friendly.
Upon checking in i asked if both couples could have rooms with a view of st pauls but only one was available so we were given that room and a free upgade to a superior room for our friends and both rooms on the same floor another plus for us.
A couple of other reviews mention confrences going on well this was true of the first day we were there but this was far from a problem as the confrence facilities are below the main entry levels and when we ventured down while checking out the hotel we were give a premotional goody bags by one gentleman and a couple of top quality umbrellas.....thanks!
The location of the hotel is also great a 2 min walk to st pauls tubestation and same to millenium bridge and many coffebars and eateries close by.
We had included in our price continental breakfast which was great for the girls but for an extra ?8 myself and my friend upgraded to buffet style full english which was great for the price ( we can both eat) and really tasty with fresh toast served fresh to u upon request.
Rooms were fantastic with all u would need for your stay including an iorn and board, hairdryer great toiletries, robes, slippers and great connection on the free wifi and great selection of channels on the tv including sky sports........
All in all this is the perfect hotel for london for whatever u want to do in london and i for one will be back again next year with my children and will review again to see if things change when i have a small army in tow............
I hope this review helps in anyway thanks...................................

LIked: The NEW look, contemporary design and rooms are furnished immaculately and easily one of the best rooms I have stayed at in London. I recommend contacting Guest Relations (Simonetta in particular - who is simply one of the most professional and courteous people I have ever met)prior to arrival so they can ensure an enjoyable stay. They ensure all your needs are met prior to check in.
Overall: Overall, the experience was troublesome. I booked the accomodation on the proviso that all the rooms had ESPN. Upon check-in our keys would not work, there was no ESPN and even when I tried to stream the channel - the weak internet connection at the back of the hotel, meant I missed the reason why I was staying there in the first place. However, top marks to Simonetta (Guest Relations) who put up with my angry husband and provided a HDMI & internet cable as well as calling our Grange properties and trying to get ESPN on our TV. Above and beyond the call of duty.

We had a great time at the hotel, it was spotless and really comfortable. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the facilities in the room were faultless. We enjoyed an upgrade to a deluxe room and also went to the lovely spa. We ate in the new japanese restaurant Benihaha which was also great and good value for money. The rooms were very quiet at night and the reading light was great. The only thing l suppose that was a bit lacking was the view of the brick wall but l liked the view of St Pauls from the roof.
