| Rated 4 out of 5: We were given a king sized bed which was great as we had booked a queen . At breakfast we were not given any menus and although service was attentive the water did not taste bottled or was it indeed cold ! (We noticed some guests were given small individual bottles of water which may have been better ) We wanted to go to Whiskey Mist , but the reception staff wouldn't help ,and directed us to the concierge who were equally unhelpful and said due to an 'incident ' they no longer put guests from the hotel on the guest list ! I think the hotel should not advertise Whiskey Mist on their website as being a part of their hotel -we queued and paid 40 pounds for two and left after a few minutes as it felt sleazy and quite frightening and was not in anyway a cool nightclub Rated 4.5 out of 5: Location is excellent. Food was 1st class especially the breakfast. Really want to go back and have afternoon tea... It looked superb. Hyde park is opposite the hotel so perfect for Sunday morning walk Rated 5 out of 5: This hotel is breathtaking! The views truly spectacular! The hotel staff and service are incomparable as they met our needs before we even had to ask! The location is superb as it is conveniently opposite Hyde Park and walking distance to the underground and many delightful restaurants. It was a really wonderful stay and we would stay there again. Rated 5 out of 5: On arrival all the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel and room on the 25th floor were fantastic. A wonderful and thoroughly pleasant stay. Rated 5 out of 5: hi, we stayed for my wifes birthday, very nice room, hallways are a bit dated but the general hotel very nice, bar prices are high £21 (for a small beer and a vodka lemonade), we had inclusive breakfast which was buffet style and good quality but we got there at 9am and had to wait 5 mins as we left the queue was out of the room and down the hall i would guess a 30-40 min wait breakfast room too small !!, good selection of foods though. Rated 4 out of 5: My family and I stayed at Park Lane Hilton at the beginning of December 2011. We picked this hotel because of its location as we wanted to be close to Hyde Park (Winter Wonderland happened to be going on at Hyde Park at that time too). I do have to say that the location was perfect, walking distance from Oxford Street, Harrods, Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly, Trafalgar Square. Our room had a great view of the London Eye and Big Ben. It was quite spacious for the crib that we requested. Our king size bed was comfortable. The service was great. Our room was ready right at noon when we checked in which was wonderful, especially traveling with a baby. We did have to call and request a hair dryer and our robes, but everything arrived promptly. One evening I requested a glass of milk for my child. The milk arrived in minutes (warm and cold just to make sure that we can mix it to the right temperature). The breakfast at the hotel was lovely - a great selection, we especially enjoyed the smoothies, yogurts and pastries. We also purchased the afternoon chocolate tea at the hotel. We happened to have a pleasant, yet very slow and disorganized server, we never got a wine list, but the tea was wonderful. It was a great holiday experience. We were not pleased with the fact that we had to pay over $20 per day to use the Internet. We checked out the business center and even there, we had to pay to get online. I would expect this service to be free of charge at a 5 star hotel. Over all, we enjoyed our stay. Room Tip: Request rooms on the higher floor. I prefer the Big Ben view, not the Hyde Park view. Check out the restaurant on the top floor for the 360 degree view of London. Impressive. Rated 5 out of 5: All the facilities were faultless. However, what stood out was the exceptional service from all the staff. You genuinely felt they could not do enough for you and they always had a pleasant, friendly smile on their faces. the service we received was the best we have experienced anywhere. Rated 4.5 out of 5: We were very happy with the level of service we received from All the staff at the hotel. From our first greeting at reception to our farewell from the bell boy everyone was helpful cheerful and professional. After staying at a number of 5 star hotels we definitely found the Hilton to be the Best value for money. Thank you Rated 5 out of 5: We stayed on the 24th floor in a executive room to celebrate my birthday. The hotel staff were lovely in every area of the building, always ready with a efficient and friendly response. They left wine, fruit and a birthday card in our room to say happy birthday. The room was great: well-equpped, immaculately clean and had an absolutely stunning view across London. The Executive Lounge is wonderful, providing drinks and snacks all day as well as wi-fi access, newspapers and a great view of Hyde Park. There was a sumptuous afternoon tea, substantial evening canapĂ©, and there are even alcoholic drinks after 6pm - all of which is included in the executive room rate. The hotel spa was a bit of a let-down, being very small and not especially well looked-after compared to the rest of the building. When I went there were discarded towels, robes, drinking glasses and newspapers and no sign of any staff. I got the impression the spa might have had different owners, so maybe that partly explains it. One word of warning about car-parking: the meter in the NCP car-park was (when we stayed) 6 mins fast. NCP were very unforgiving when we fell into the next hour by two minutes because we were referring to real time not NCP time. This was a costly mistake. Set a timer or synchronise your watch. And one other word of warning: always confirm your destination with your taxi driver. We let the concierge do it and ended up going to the wrong Lyric theatre - another pretty costly error! Still none of these things are really the hotel's fault. It was a lovely weekend and I'd definitely go back to the Hilton Rated 4 out of 5: We have stayed at the Hilton many times and always found it reliable and good quality. Public areas are all tidy and clean, bedrooms spacious and well maintained - with one exception, the bathrooms which are showing signs of ageing and need updating quickly. Shower curtains and unsightly (and outdated) and dirty shower heads detract from otherwise top quality rooms. Breakfast was the usual buffet bun fight although cooked to order is available if not well publicised. Staff are helpful and the whole place has that comfortable feel. Shop around for prices and you will find good value for a hotel in a great location. |
