A Holiday Inn Bloomsbury guest gave the stay 4 out of 5:
Nice room - we had a reasonably spacious twin room, very clean and comfortable. I'd recommend this hotel, no negative points, though for the price we paid, I'd expect nothing less. Thats London for you though! They have a "pillow menu" where you can ask for a pillow of your choice (the standard bed pillows are synthetic and perfectly ok). I'm not normally fussy about these things but given that it was on offer we were forking out quite a lot, I decided I'd ask for a feather one. It never appeared, and we stayed up for a while wondering if they would knock on the door as we were falling asleep. Didn't happen - don't advertise these things if you're not going to deliver! I found the room nice and quiet considering the central London location. Bit too warm though, and it was a freezing night in January! Great location for visiting London - close to tube and Kings X, Russell Square etc. I'd come back here, but maybe not in summer!

Rated 4 out of 5:
It is a good hotel. Usual Holiday Inn. The rooms were a bit small but very clean. I did expect bigger for the money I paid but it is central London. The Restaurant was modern, stylish and the food was very good. We had an enjoyable meal there. Staff were friendly. Never had room service so I cannot comment on that nor Breakfast, did not have time! Excellent parking with Car park next door at a reasonable price for that area. I would go back again if I was around that area. The only bad points that I have were the view was obscured and the price was a bit steep. In the bathroom there could of been more towels.

Rated 4 out of 5:
Friendly, polite and helpful staff, clean facility. Good location.
Disliked: Noisy room location above delivery dock, construction noise one night until 11 pm. Extremely poor acoustics in restaurant (am acoustic specialist in N. America) very hard surfaces, floor, walls, ceiling and other multiple reflective surfaces make for most unpleasant experience resulting in avoiding restaurant second time.
Overall: Good location adjacent to Underground and shopping. Satisfactory enough for area, room too small for two people with luggage, removal of unused refrigerator cabinet and CRT TV (flat screen would be less space invasive) would extended useful space. Good security, clean and friendly.

Rated 4 out of 5:
The hotel, staff, location, room were all excellent. Well situated for the tube which was the easiest way to get around. Buying a day travel card for zones 1&2 in advance from local station for the tube and buses was excellent value for ?5.80

Rated 3.5 out of 5:
The hotel is OK, reception area and restaurant/bar has clearly been refurbished recently but the rooms are in desperate need of updating too. <br />It's in a good location and ultimately anywhere in London is not going to be cheap, but it was more like a budget hotel than the normal Holiday Inn standard

review: Absolutely dreadful, I booked this as a new years eve/ Birthday surprise for my boyfriend and when we arrived at our room I was embarresed. the room was expensive and not even worth half what i paid. The follwimg night we stayed at a travel inn nearby for less than half the price and it was so much better. we complained to holiday inn and they done nothing!!
