My room was very nice, spacious, clean and tidy. However, when I woke up in the morning my right ankle wad been bitten by something in 3 places, my leg had been firmly under the tucked in sheets all night which did cause me some concern. Liked the pillow menu, my allocated pillows were not very comfortable and when I asked for another type this was delivered quickly. The food in the bar was good, but the portions small. I was still hungry after a main meal, ended up returning to my room and odering additional food from room service.

I've stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions and the standard of service is always reasonably good. I would describe it as a business hotel and most people staying there through the week are suited and booted. Reception always seems quick and efficient, breakfast is always good, rooms OK - always deccent and clean, gym and swimming pool are small but clean. It is about a 10 minute (?7-8) taxi ride into Brentwood town centre which has a fairly good selection of bars and restaurants. Overall good place in the South East. Better than the Hilton on the bridge and the Travel Inn places.

The staff in the leisure complex were very pleasant
Disliked: The food was appalling. We sent the starter back because the rocket looked as if it had been around for a week,the garnish on the main course was the same. The potatos were inedible and again looked reheated
Overall: Sadly the food let the hotel down very badly

the hotel took in our dog and that is a real bonus especially with the park so amenable

middle of the road - looks a little tired but room ok (i was expecting much worse given some of teh otehr reviews) and didn't have problems other guests mentioned - was quiet and i was ground floor near the road. gym ok, again tired but everything worked unlike some many hotel gyms / pools
