| A guest who stayed at the Holiday Inn Chessington rated the experience 4 out
of 5 : I stayed a night when I was in Chessington on business. Arriving at 11am I was greeted by a friendly receptionist who showed me to my room. I was told that the resteraunt closed at 10.30 but was recommended on what to order from room service. I found my room to be spotless and very clean. In the morning I had forgotten all my toiletries however the staff were very helpful and provided me with everything I needed. The breakfast was ok, I have no complaints and would recommend to anyone. Rated 4 out of 5 : Stayed here with my wife and 2 teenage daughters in a family room. This gave a large double bed at one end and 2 small beds in an alcove at the other. Ideal for a bit of privacy. Very happy with the overall quality of the hotel - breakfast was pretty good. Although we didn't go to Chessington thmeme park it was right next door and this hotel would be perfectly located for a short break there. Rated 4.6 out of 5 : Appearance of the hotel is excellent. It looks new and is very clean and tidy. The room was spacious, very well presented and spotless. Disliked: The price of the food in the restaurant is very high. Overall: An excellent modern, clean hotel although the experience is marred a little by the over-priced food. Rated 5 out of 5 : The Holiday Inn in Chessington was a wonderful surprise. A brand new hotel, only 10 minutes walk from the nearest station which was only 30 minutes from Central London was a wonderful find and great value. The hotel restaurant was fantastic and the new room had all the amenities you would expect from a four star + hotel. With such close proximity to Chessington, we were up early for a great breakfast and on the rides 10 minutes later as soon as the parks opened. Our room looked over the new zoo facility at Chessington, and we thought we would be disturbed by the waking animals, but they seemed to keep at a respectful noise level until gone 9! Chessington itself hasn't changed much for a few years now, and could do with a lick of paint. It is still a fun, family friendly and great facility right on every Londoners doorstep. I would highly recommend the Holiday Inn in Chessington, and in booking through Superbreak we got our hotel and park tickets for the same price that it would have cost to book independently at the hotel. A bargain and great weekend too! Rated 4 out of 5 : We were up in Chessington visiting my daughter and seeing a play in covent garden. The hotel was very clean and comfortable.we thought the breakfast was a bit expensive so took advantage of tea and coffee in our room and went out for brunch.Perhaps it would of been better to book b and b we will look for that option next time which there will be a next time. Buses and trains on the doorstop great. |
