| A Crowne Plaza Ealing guest gave the stay 5 out of 5: Stayed here this month for an overnight stay to visit friends. Very impressed. Check-in staff were really friendly and there were nice little touches like free newspapers at the reception. Room was much better than I was expecting for this price-range, I have stayed at 5 star places which have been smaller and grubbier. I used the gym for an hour and the staff were absolutlely brilliant ,the manager was really helpful and friendly and because the gym is used by local members as well as guests it has a nice buzz to it and is not just a dimly lit basement room like some hotels. The gym is brand spandking new like many other parts of the hotel. I didn't have time breakfast but did have a quick drink at the bar. Not cheap at almost ?5 for a glass of wine but i suppose this is not unusual for London hotels. The bar/restaurant is very well desgned and modern though. The best thing for me was the one minute walk to Hanger Lane tube station - I was in Notting Hill within 12 minutes and Bond Street in 20! Rated 4 out of 5: From the minuite I walked through the front revolving door, I was met with extremely friendly and helpfull staff. The reception staff took us through the check-in process quickly and politley (exactly what you need after a hard train and underground ride). Through out the weekend I had a few questions about the area and how best to get around and the desk staff were more than up to the challenge, answering any questions we had. The restaurant staff were also a happy bunch that made that 1st cup of coffee in the morning that much nicer. The whole hotel is presented very well, decorated in the manner of much more expensive hotels. The room was decorated to a high standard and of a generous size, and apart from a small patch of what looked like damp in one of the corners of the room, it was clean. The location is brilliant for anyone going to Wembley Stadium/Arena, only a short 5-10 min bus trip away. It is also situated right next to Hanger Lane underground station, which takes around 30 mins to get into the centre of London. Although the Hotel is situated on a very busy round-about and a minuits walk from an underground station, I not once heard a car or train from my room. The food at the hotel was tasty but pricey and with quite a lot of restaurants around the area (indian, med and pub grub), we ended up eating out after the 1st evening. On the other hand, the breakfast was awesome. It is a continental style buffet with a full english fry up included. I would deffinately recommend heading down there in the morning. The best part of the hotel by far, is the service. The staff always seeded freiendly and on hand to help and really made the stay. The hotel stands out from other similarly priced hotels for me, not only by the decor, but the level of excellent service i recieved. The worst part of my stay was probably the price of the food in the resturant. Although it was great food, you can get a banquet for the same price outside the hotel. I hope this helps somebody. Rated 5 out of 5: our room was upgraded which was very nice difficulty to find hotels location, there was no building number ,so it was difficult to find it in first place with tom tom Overall: very good for price Rated 4 out of 5: We were visiting for business / pleasure and the Crowne Plaza was a very good location. Rooms are kept to a high standard. Staff were friendly and well-trained. A good selection at breakfast. We would definitely visit again Rated 5 out of 5: I booked the Crowne thinking it would be handy for a late party in Wembley just for the convenience of the location although it was right on the main road but what a haven of peace and wonderful friendly service. It was luxurious, clean and had everything we needed. I would certainly book here again. Parking is not great but the staff managed to find us a space even at 1 in the morning. |
