| Rated 4 out of 5 by a Holiday Inn Express Luton Airport guest: A one night stay at Express by Holiday Inn Luton Airport prior to an early morning flight the following morning. Stayed here once before so knew it's location. Parked the car in the Mid-Term Car Park, and walked across to the hotel which adjacent to the Mid-Term Car Park. Check-In was straightforward and we were given a room on the same floor as the reception/restaurant, but in actual fact about three floors up due to the design of the hotel. The room was standard Express by Holiday Inn, very comfortable and clean, with a great view of the business jets parked out the back of the hotel. Decided on an evening meal in the Restaurant which was extremely busy. The menu was well presented and a good choice too. The food arrived within 20 minutes and was very tasty. The staff were friendly and attentive. Due to the early morning flight we had a 4am breakfast, most items were offered apart from crossiants etc but still a great effort at that time of the morning. A convenient hotel for Luton Airport, efficient staff and friendly approach. Rated 3 out of 5 : Ive stayed here with work and thoguht the food was a disgrace, so had to head into Luton for a decent meal.I was in a basement room which felt like a cell. The staff were really unfriendly apart from one gentleman who actually encouraged me not to eat the dire food but the eastern european girls had a poor command of English and therefore could not offer good service. Breakfast was ok but breakfast room reminded me of school. Bar nice but drinks ridiculously priced, they were dearer than 4 star hotels ive been to. Rated 4 out of 5 : New, clean facility, nicely located. Food was also nice. Overall: Very good combination of accommodation and transport for London visits. Rated 4 out of 5 : We used the hotel overnight for ou onward journey, flying from Luton to take us to our destination, Lake Garda. The trip was fantastic. We stayed at a hotel at a small town called Torbole, directly oposite the Lake. We traveled across the lake by ferry to aplace called Limone, which was very picturesque. We also took trips to Venice and Verona, during our stay. The countryside surrounding the places we visited was truly beautiful. Our holiday started very well with our journey by train/bus from Coventry via Milton Keynes to Luton Airport and the stay at the Express Holiday Inn, made for a very relaxing start to the holiday, even though our flight required us to be at the airport at 5.00 am! Rated 3.5 out of 5 : At breakfast it was early but no bread was available for at least 30 minutes, many of our fellow travellers had to leave before stocks were replenished. This may not seem a big deal but if you do not like breakfast cereal ther was nothing else |
