| A Holiday Inn Heathrow Ariel guest rated the stay as 4 out of 5: This hotel is a very nice one, very close to the Airport, ideal for Short transit trips of 1 night or so, The Staff were very nice and helpful, the room is spotless and comfortable but very small " it is OK for a short Transit" , The room has a Comfortable bed, , Satellite TV, Writing desk, Coffee and Tea Facility, nice and clean bathroom. The breakfast was really very good, the buffet has it all. The Hotel is very well connected with the buses. You need to know that the bus will take at least 25 minutes to complete his round to the Airport. I really recommend this Hotel if you are going to have a stop at Heathrow Airport. Rated 5 out of 5: I stayed at the Holiday Inn Ariel for one night before flying out to US for Christmas. As a member of the RAC I got a really good deal - ?70 for the night which included up to 15 days parking. Even without the RAC discount the cost would have only been ?100 which I think is good value. The Reception staff were extremely helpful and pleasant and my room (I had booked a single) actually had a comfortable double bed. The room was very quiet, clean and well furnished. I didn't eat at the hotel as I'd travelled up to Heathrow in the evening to avoid traffic on the M25 so can't comment on the food, but the restaurant looked OK and not too busy when I got there and also in the morning before I left. I took the hotel hoppa bus to the airport although I understand there is also a free bus service just along the road, the bus picks up at other hotels along the way so people need to allow time for this. I would definitely recommend the hotel for a 'pre-flight' stay, particularly the package they offer including car parking. One minor criticism - I found the directions on the hotel website a little confusing - but I got there in the end! Rated 4.3 out of 5: Check in staff were courteous and offered an upgrade once the booking problems had been rectified. Disliked: Booking on the internet was not registered at the reception desk on arrival leading to a frustrating and worrying 25 minute wait. Overall: A positive experience once difficulties were overcome. Rated 5 out of 5: A good place to stay to be near Heathrow and have an opportunity for a quick day in London - buses and tube convenient, hotel comfortable, staff pleasant. Rated 4.5 out of 5: Food was very good with good menu. Reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere. Room great. Bed comfy. We would certainly stay again. Staff service very good. |
