| Rated 4.1 out of 5: Great location for Heathrow, good soundproofing, good weekend rates. Disliked: Wireless costs money; should be free in a business hotel. Overall: Does what it says on the tin. Rated 4.5 out of 5: A little hard to find after dark along a very busy airport road Incredible soundproofing against aircraft and road noise - top marks Excellent customer service from all members of staff A hotel guest gave the hotel 4 out of 5 saying: I have stayed regularly at this Holiday Inn over the past few years as my company has an office in nearby Uxbridge and this hotel is the best combination of location/price that I have found. I am a Holiday Inn Priority club member so always get an upgrade and normally get free parking. I also have use of my car so do not eat there. I have always found my room clean and comfortable and the staff are helpful to me. All the hotels at Heathrow have to use the Hotel Hoppa buses to transport travellers to and from the hotel. This is an airport directive, not a hotel choice. There are several HH hotels near the airport so please make sure you get the correct one. This one is on the Bath Road, opposite the airport; there is another one, the Ariel, also on the Bath Road and another, M4. Jnct 4, which is further away, near to the motorway which runs near the airport. Have a look at the HH website from this page to make sure you get the correct one. It has the new HH logo and branding on it and is red brick. If you have transport there are a number of pubs and restaurants nearby where you can get better food at significantly cheaper prices. I like the pub in Longford for simple food in a good atmosphere. It does get busy early as it is popular with people working nearby so go a little later if you can. I have also heard good reviews of the Chinese restaurant on the Bath Road between the hotel and Longford but have not eaten there myself. If you are travelling from the airport then skip the hotel breakfast and eat at the airport, it will be significantly cheaper. All hotels in the UK seem to charge excessive prices for breakfast apart from budget chains which provide a simple breakfast free of charge. |
