A guest to the Holiday Inn Windsor Slough gave the stay 4 out of 5:
Having read previous reviews, we were worried about using this hotel (after we had paid to stay)! We were having a weekend at Legoland and needed a place to stay for one night with kids (aged 3 & 6). We requested an early check-in (12pm) as we didn't want to arrive to check in at 9pm and find that a room was unavailable - like some other visitors reported. We arrived at 1pm and had been given an early check-in and were dealt with by a friendly and professional receptionist. The family room (4th floor) was very clean, well equipped and stocked with the essentials-as well as an ice machine just outside door. We had 2 big beds to share - which is always better than the usual sofa beds in family rooms! There was a little aircraft noise - but that should be expected on the Heathrow flight path!!! Breakfast service was good, with a choice of items from the buffet - especially for kids. Parked underground and used intercom to gain access - we were waiting less than 1 minute to be greeted and let into lift area. Hotel information on TV was useful and very accessible. Overall, a good stay for the whole of our family.

Rated 3 out of 5:
I've read the other reviews. This is a hotel that serves the commercial area that is Slough and Heathrow airport. As such, one gets what one expects here. Bog standard, no real attemp at being "different". As an HI Platinum member, I got an exec upgrade. The room was OK, but I'm not going to rave about it (seems to be stuck in the 1990s). Great access to the M4! So there you are - nothing to complain about, but also nothing much going by way of a recommendation either.

Rated 4 out of 5:
North American quality rooms. Good weekend rates. Younger children get free breakfasts. Good train access to London. The weekday rates were very high. Since we were travelling by automobile to many different locations throughout Britain, we found excellent (better) value at the hotels found at motorway rest stops. Overall: We spent two nights in transit during our annual vacation. The hotel offered all the conveniences of a North American Holiday Inn Express.

Rated 4 out of 5:
We went to legoland and had an overnight stay at holiday inn. Form the moment we arrived the staff were extremelly welcoming and the facilities were family freindly and enhanced our stay. We strongly recommend Holiday Inn Slough for a family break.

Rated 3 out of 5:
Basic accommodation. Decor etc getting worn and dated. Room size fine. Main (serious) problem was the room was cold on arrival - just after Christmas - and the heating/aircon unit very noisey/inadequate. Supplementary heater obtained, but, as fan type, also noisey! Turning off the heaters meant room became cold while in bed. Also, there is an extra charge for parking, which seems a little steep for residents. The Holiday Inn Maidenhead is better - much quieter heating and fee parking.
