| The Hotel Indigo was rated 5 out of 5 : Stayed in London with my wife, celerbrating our anniversary, and found this little gem of a hotel. We trawled the internet looking for a nice hotel, and I must admit, it was my wife who found this one, and what a find it was. Check in was very smooth and quick, receptionists were full of smiles and VERY pleasant (without being over-freindly). Had a fab room (201), lovely 4 poster bed, so comfortable would still be there now if we were able to. The room size was brilliant, really spacious, with trendy decor. Bathroom was very chic and modern (wife want me to re-do our bathroom in same style - thanks Idigo lol) Due to its position, the area is very quiet over the weekend - perfect for us, yet is only a few minutes from everything you could want in London. We didn't eat in hotel as we had diner booked, so cannot comment on that. Breakfast was good, again staff very attentive without hovering over you. Check out, was again smooth and full of smiles. Would I go to this Hotel again, YES Would I choose this hotel over more established hotels in London - YES Rated 5 out of 5 : Just by luck my husband and I booked into this very new hotel whilst on a last minute trip to London. Although it took a while to find it via a car and unclear directions from the hotel when we arrived we found a comfortable hotel with very good ideas such as free WiFi (my husband is always complaining about this - if McDonalds can do it why not all hotels?) and a complimentary non-alcoholic mini bar- we were upgraded so whether the mini bar is free in all rooms I am not sure. The food was good and the staff excellent. Let's hope they keep it up! Rated 5 out of 5 : Very Nice Hotel - brand new and squeaky clean! Hotel is located a short walk from Aldgate Tube station. Check in was quick and friendly. Room and bathroom are a very good size. Nice four poster bed but as a previous reviewer stated, the quilt on the bed was very heavy and doubled with thick mattress quilt underneath, it was extremely hot and very difficult to sleep despite the air conditioning on. And I too, found the fluffy rug on the wooden floor annoying. There was fluff everywhere! Room had Ironing board, safe, coffee maker, fridge, i-pod dock and good tv and the road outside was very quiet when we stayed. Complimentary newspaper left outside room in morning. Enjoyed the hotel despite the quilt and fluff. A little tip- If you stay on a Saturday night, the bells from nearby church will wake you at about 9am so make sure the window is closed! |
