| Rated 5 out of 5 by a Rafayel on the Left Bank guest: Came to Ldn for a couple of nights for business, I work for a boutique-style investment house based in Chelsea and thought would give a boutique-style hotel a chance this time. Must say was highly impressed. Hotel has is positioned really nicely on the river (had a good Thames view), and rooms were about four times the size of the best 5 *s I have stayed in in New York and Tokyo but a quarter of the price. This is unusual for London, where I am used to not getting value for money. Met the proprietor in the restaurant, he has clearly cut a unique style for the hotel - elegant, eclectic and sophisticated yet comfortable. Food in the restaurant top quality, and good value too. I think this hotel, restaurant and spar/gym (I am a keep fit guy and was impressed to see a very well equipped gym and managed an early morning river run) has great promise. Will be coming back, especially given a lot of my business is in Chelsea with hedge fund guys and this is a 5 minute cab ride away. Rated 5 out of 5 : I had the pleasure of holding my 40th birthday celebration with family and friends recently. Mr Latif and the staffs' organisation and hospitality was fantastic. From the moment I mentioned I would like to hold the party within the fantastic Banyan restaurant everything I needed was catered for, above and beyond expectations. My friends had a marvellous time and I had a birthday celebration I will never forget. The drinks and food were top notch and the cake supplied by Baketique (within the hotel) was fantastic together with the flower arrangements. Thank you so much for making this a trully wonderful eventing. As a resident I have also used the SPA facilities and thoroughly enjoyed my massage and facial treatments and will definitely be returning. Thank you Hotel Rafayel Rated 5 out of 5 : Was very pleasantly surprised with the Rafayel, I am a very frequent traveler so stay in a variety of accomodation, & i would definitely recommend this hotel. Although the 'scenery' of Battersea isn't great, once you're in the hotel, you could easily be anywhere in the world. The decor is modern but not harsh, the mainly European staff (who speak perfect English) are extremely friendly & helpful, but not overbearing, it is extremely clean & comfortable hotel, & the rooms have a deluxe feel, with all Mod cons. All of the wonderful smelling toiletries provided were organic (very important to me) & the mini bar had a good selection. The complementary tea/coffee & the slippers & robes just added that little extra also. The only thing i would say is that not every tiny detail has been thought of, which i would put down to it being a new hotel, not lack of thought. We had to phone down reception for milk & a bottle opener as there were neither in the room, & the hotel info, which is all on the tv menu, not in a booklet, had neccessary info missing. Checkout times were not listed in the menu, nor was the reception/room service number, although there is a button next to the front door with a picture of a maid on there, so maybe that was it? But apart from a few calls down to reception for minor things, our stay could not have been more perfect! We didn't have time to use the spa (much to my despair, but on our next visit, i will definitely be paying them a visit) And as for the valet parking that only cost ?8 for 24hrs (and its out of the congestion zone), what more could you ask for?? :o) (We paid ?120 for the room for 1 night, which i was more than happy to pay, but this seems to be an introductory offer, i don't know if i would be quite so happy to pay the regular ?250, i would have to compare with other hotels in that price bracket.) |
