Rated 4.4 out of 5 :
Hotel has excellent location near Paddington station. The room was clean and tidy. The room was described as clubroom but had no view as window faced roof space and building opposite. The room had no hangers in wardrobe and water was only lukewarm even though management were informed about water. There was an iron as claimed but the ironing board was broken and as such useless. Shame about the small points as they all add up to spoil what would otherwise have been a good experience.

Rated 3.5 out of 5 :
Stayed with this 'chain' before and found this occasion a bit of a let down. On arrival I was told there was a problem and directed across the road to another hotel in the group. Room was small, but clean and functional. However... no remote for the TV and no Ethernet cable so no web access. It was late and I couldn't be bothered to complain about it, but it wasn't impressive. Also, unusually for these hotels, I found the staff this time a bit variable - one or two were really helpful and welcoming, but another was positively perfunctory and one distinctly surly. Price, convenience of location and cleanliness are probably the only things that would draw me back...

I booked a double room for myself and my partner, and a single for a friend on a Sunday night at the beginning of March for a very reasonable price per room only. The report of the single room was, "you've really got to see how small the room is", IT WAS. As for our double, it was a decent size with two double beds , and a small but adequate bathroom, and a large wall mounted TV. So far so good ,a good shower and comfy bed followed, but then the big problem.... Stay Well Clear of Room 21 (ground floor, Next to the lift). The NOISE.. All the Air-Con units are situated just outside the bedroom window. I am not a good sleeper and was kept awake nearly all night, my partner who usually is a heavy sleeper was woken up a lot during the night so it just wasn't me. I complained early the next morning, only to be faced with a slightly bemused/confused receptionist's "Sorry" and that was it. I was too tired to bother with an argument so left for breakfast in the Cafe around the corner. A bargain full English for under a fiver.
In summary. I would use this hotel again, but only at a discounted price, and not on the ground floor or near to the lift. it's also ideally placed for Paddington Station.

review: I couldn't agree more with the other review, rooms were so small you could barely move. They had two spotlights to light the whole room. I had to laugh at the ironing board, because unless I erected it in the hallway it was of little use. If I worked in this hotel I would be embarassed!
If you book this hotel you will be sorry - I was!!!!

review: Do not stay here. If you read reviews at other sites, which I should have done, you would have stayed clear of this hotel. This is possibly the worst hotel I've stayed at in my 42 years.
