| Rating out of 10: 7 Date stayed: May 2007 review: We have stayed in this hotel about 20 times in the last 5 years as it is incredibly handy both for Euston station (just a few steps away) and central London. It grows on you over time! Rooms are spotless, beds very comfortable and bathrooms small but fine. When you get to know them the staff are friendly and helpful. Lifts are swift and public areas have been improved recently. With judicious selection you can have a good breakfast and a quite good evening meal at a reasonable price. You can leave suitcases in a secure room at no cost which saves left luggage charges. The main problem is insufficient reception staff for the sheer volume of people using the hotel. Expect to queue whatever time you arrive or leave. Rating out of 10: 1 Date stayed: April 2006 review: Very disapppointed with the service I received from this hotel. Had booked a travel cot, but this wasn't in room when I arrived at 9pm with fractious baby. Was informed by manager that even though I had 'booked' a travel cot (and had confirmation of this) this did not imply a cot had been reserved for me (despite a phone call from myself before arrival confirming it would be set up). Why??????? Manager was rude to the point of embarrassing (I am the manager!!I am king in my hotel!!!)LOL!! Will not be using this hotel again. Rating out of 10: 7 Date stayed: December 2005 review: This hotel is quite a good hotel. Very spacious for a 3-star hotel and well trained staff able to speak multiple languages. I myself am from Holland and even that language was one of the options. The facilities are very standard, but the price is very affordable. I'm staying here next month with a friend with a 3-night deal for about 155 GBP in total. Quite a bargain for central London. The only bad thing I find is breakfast, but then it's english so I probably shouldn't bother too much. |
