The staff at this hotel really do make an extra effort to welcome guests and provide an efficient and friendly service. The Bistro is a good place to eat if the guest does not want to search out a local eating place and the breakfast is excellent. Aldgate East Underground Station is quite literally around the corner.

I have to agree with others that the internet service is terrible and in French (which is worse if you dont speak French)...If you buy the wireless...BE SURE to write down the login and code before you touch anything...when I hit a button, the information disappeared and I had to buy another session to recover it from the email they send it to (brilliant!!!)...should have a message/offering like BTOpenzone where you can save it before the website tries to do anything...also signed off randomly. Location of the hotel was very good, room was comfortable.

A very clean and welcoming hotel. Very helpful staff. Management were extremely generous and thoughtful when the room we'd booked had been given to a family (due to many people needing accommodation due to closure of Heathrow Airport during severe snowstorms). They saw we were exhausted after long flight from Australia and delays, were very apologetic about room and looked after us brilliantly to accommodate my husband and I, as well as our adult daughter. So impressed with the staff...we came back to stay for another two nights ten days later! A little bit away from "touristy area" but easy access by bus or tube...we even walked some times. We preferred the position-not amongst the hustle and bustle but easy to get to everything in London.
