Rated 4 out of 5:
A good value hotel. Room are clean and modern, the bed is very hard (if you like that sort of thing).A good shower and most faciliaties you would expect, although the television reception is terrible and wifi in most rooms seems to be fairly slow. Staff are generally very friendly and helpful, although the time taken to check in or receive ordered food is often slow.
Although there are some problems, the hotel is very reasonably priced so overall represents very good value.

Rated 4 out of 5:
Its an airport hotel so don't expect fireworks, it does exactly what it says on the tin. Professional check-in service from chap working at reception. Quiet, comfortable and modern room without view but its not a problem as its not exactly a location famous for views lol . Stayed there for an early flight next morning. Shuttle bus from train station to airport stops close by and it takes less then 10 mins to walk to airport.

Liked: Efficient and clean, room a good size for that price range and situation
Disliked: bath drain partially blocked

Rated 4 out of 5:
For ease of access it was a perfect location - ie I arrived by train, and it was only a very short walk to the Hotel from the bus stop. In the morning the walk to the airport took less than 10 minutes. I asked for a hairdryer and an iron; these were forthcoming, and the room was very clean and comfortable. I'd paid for a full English Breakfast, only to find there were no eggs in the morning. I asked for a refund (and there was no problem with this). and said it would have been helpful if Reception had known this state of affairs to save embarassment and disappointment. I would definitely stay there again, as was very satisfied.

An Ibis Luton client gave the hotel 3 out of 5 and explained:
An early morning flight out of Luton meant that we wanted a hotel that was close to the airport. We chose the Ibis based on its location and price (we found a sale on the Internet). I didn't read the Tripadvisor reviews beforehand, and when I read them after my boyfriend and I had already booked, I was concerned because the general consensus of the reviews was that the hotel was not that great. We arrived at the hotel late Sunday night. We took the shuttle from the Airport stop of the train station to the Holiday Inn Express and walked down the hill. From the outside, the hotel looked pleasant and when we walked in, the staff was friendly. In fact, clerk at the front was very friendly. We got our room keys and walked to the elevator and then down the hall to our room. I was preparing for the worst as I opened the door to the room, but I was pleasantly surprised. The room had a wood floor which was nice compared to nasty, dated carpet that you get in some hotels. Everything appeared to be clean and there wasn't a smell of smoke. It reminded me of a step above our Motel 6s in the States. I wouldn't have wanted to stay here for more than a night because the rooms were very small (even by European standards I think). The bathroom was clean though the step up into the bathroom was a little strange. I felt as though I was staying in a 5th Wheel Trailer. Because the hotel isnt located in town, the choice of restaurants is limited, especially since it was late and we didn't have a car. Our only choice really was to eat there. The selection on the menu was alright, again nothing spectacular. My boyfriend ordered a hamburger and I ordered a Caesar salad. We also ordered two beers which were the highlight of the dismal meal. There was some bread up at the bar too that we could help ourselves to. This was nice. It took forever for our food to come. I actually think they gave the hamburger to someone else and then had to make another one, but when it arrived, the burger looked good. My boyfriend said it was alright. The Caesar salad, however, was not tasty ? only the cheese was good in my opinion. The lettuce was somewhat wilty. Obviously, we were disappointed in the meal, but so things go. Our wake-up call came promptly the next morning and we hauled our luggage up the hill to catch the bus to the airport terminal. Would I stay at the Ibis Luton Airport again? It wasn't bad for one night so probably and for the price.
