Have just returned from a three night stay with my husband and two children. You are treated like an old friend from the minute you arrive until the moment you leave. The staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
The public rooms in the hotel are amazing and the bedrooms are extremely well appointed. The only meal we ate was the continental breakfast, but even that was very substantial.
You could not ask for a better location. Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square are all only a short walk away.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody, old or young, single or families.
Have already booked to stay again in October!!

I stayed at the St Ermins 2 days , just a quick week end break , and I really enjoyed it . The location is very central , shops, theatres ...the services is excellent, staff very attentive, specially the Reception ! Will definitely come back !!!

Great hotel great location newly refurbished and still being completed so don't book a wake up call because the builders will wake you at 8am sharp hammering and using powertools. Phoned reception poor response, asked later told not suppose to start till 10am. Would still stay just check work finished.!!!!

Stayed at the St Ermins for two nights for a birthday celebration for my twin daughters. What a wonderful hotel. Family room was delightful over looking courtyard area and entrance- with two huge beds and two pristine bathrooms. Decor throughout the hotel was amazing. Staff courteous and polite - nothing too much trouble. Handmade chocolate birthday cake, muffins and brandy left in room to celebrate birthday. Two minutes walk to Westminster /Abbey, 5 minutes walk from the Palace. Central location which is ideal for those wanting to see the sights, There was a refurbishment going on at the hotel at the time we stayed but to be perfectly honest iit didn't make a difference. I would recommend this hotel as an ideal base for the tourist or the businessman. Grand facade, luxurious interior and attentive staff. Couldn't ask for more!!

The hotel is lovely, and the staff are friendly and very good. The hotel is nearing the end of a massive makeover, looks great now, will be even better when finished. The location, near St. James Park Underground fabulous (100 meters walk!), as well as being no more than a few blocks away from the sights: Buckingham Palace, Green Park, Horseguards, Whitehall, Westminster Abbey, Houses of Parliament, Thames, London Eye. Everything is on your doorstep! My only complaint, and it is a very small one, price of breakfast. Ouch, at £19.00 for continental, and £24.00 for hot food, very costly. The continental selection was 'ok', but not worth 19 quid. As this was the starting price, anything else was way over the odds. As kids are 1/2 price, you are still looking at £9-50 for a child to have a bowl of cereal or a muffin. Recommend Starbucks, just around the corner! Check the room tariff Bed&Breakfast and without breakfast, see if the price difference is worth the extra cost. Also, though children are welcome, there is not much for kids to do in the hotel. We were out sightseeing most of the time anyway, so it was not a problem, just do not expect the kids to have a place to go and entertain themselves.

Bed was very comfy, bathroom perfect except for the tiny shelf which was a little on the high side. Nice big TV and a pleasant change to have European electrical sockets available.
Housekeeping could have been a little more prompt, our room wasn't cleaned until 6pm and the ' soft opening' meant an early awakening by the builders. Overall a very pleasant stay and once the teething problems are sorted out we'll be back!

I recently paid £251 per night to stay at St Ermins for four nights in a double deluxe room for 2 adults and one child (no breakfast). The concierge was very helpful. The room included 2 double beds which took up the majority of the room, there was no room left for walking around once we included our luggage, less than 50cm from the end of the bed to the wall, I was assured several times that this was a deluxe room. The beds were beautiful to sleep in but any other time in the room was unpleasant due to the small size. The shower was probably the most disappointing for a refurbished hotel the water pressure was so pathetic soap couldn't be rinsed off.
We used the stairs due to the tiny elevator and was surprised how these were constantly blocked by new furnishings for other rooms. There is a charge of £6 per hour for wifi.
However, the location of the hotel is the best in London.
