A guest gave the hotel 3 out of 5 saying:
We stayed here on one of their Hampton Court special offer packages, including a three course meal and tickets for the palace. It was quite good value and there was plenty of free parking. The front desk staff were friendly. The room was a reasonable size, but the décor was old and tired with peeling paint in places. This did not particularly concern me, but it may others! The room was dark with a hedge outside the window on the ground floor. All lights had energy saving bulbs that were so dim when you first turn them on that I could not see a thing and was looking for a dimmer switch. They took several minutes to work properly! The restaurant food was ok, but the actual restaurant area was largely empty, and cold set in a draughty conservatory type extension. It lacked any atmosphere, but was better for the buffet breakfast. The corridors were cold too ? with some fire escape doors left open. So the decor and the restaurant were the only real down points and it could do with some modernisation. Overall not bad though.

A Kingston Lodge Hotel guest rated the stay as 4 out of 5:
Booked our room directly with hotel at short notice and they were happy to match best online price - which in our case was ?99 for bed and breakfast, a complimentary bottle of wine and a deluxe double room. Reception area was bright and spacious, the greeting was warm and friendly yet professional. Our room was initially a little disappointing, think the deluxe part was missing! However, it was exceptionally quiet, helped by the fact it overlooked the inner beautiful courtyard rather than the main road. The bed was most comfortable - I had the best night's sleep ever away from home! Breakfast was a wonderful surprise, plenty of hot choices - all cooked to order, such a rarity these days. Perfect poached eggs and a generous fillet of undyed smoked haddock were absolutely delicious. We will definitely stay there again in the near future. Some lovely attention to detail of customer service by all employees.
