Rated 4 out of 5:
Convenience could walk everywhere. Nice clean room. Good facilities. Free tickets for Tate galleries. Helpful staff.
No free WiFi. Room at front of building was very noisy and it was a bit too hot could not get temperature regulated.

Rated 5 out of 5:
A brilliant time it even snowed, streets were packed but everyone seems happy at Christmas time. At the hotel we had an hour and a half full body massage which was sure bliss. The pool is fantastic and breakfast was really nice and they allow you to take a couple of muffins back to your room for later on.

We checked in on Saturday afternoon. The room wasn't quite ready but we were very kindly offered complimentary drinks in the bar whilst we were waiting. The room was quickly finished and the friendly receptionist appeared in no time at all with the room key and spoke to us briefly before leaving us to finish our drinks. Staff were excellent! Room was an upgrade to an exec room and was very nice, spacious, and clean. Only slight drawback was it was more designed for a business person so only one chair at the table etc. Terrace restaurant was booked or 17:30 due to theatre tickets and was amazing. Service was fantastic and we were looked after without feeling like we were being hassled. The food was incredible and portions great. Wine list was extensive ranging from a cheaper bottle to as much as you wanted to spend. Bill for two for starters, main course, water, coffee and wine was around ?120. (This did include a ?40 bottle of wine). The bar after the theatre trip was great and atmosphere perfect to finish the day, although as with all London hotels the drinks were pricey with two JD and Cokes costing ?25. (even if they were doubles this is steep). We were a little put out that the first round, for which I stood at the bar for, I was still charged 12.5% service..... This was to carry the drinks from the tap to the bar top - a little cheeky and if the day hadn't been so great I would have probably refused to pay that so word of note). Service on check out was great and our bags were looked after whilst we wandered around London. Overall a wonderful place to stay and the restaurant is magnificent.

Rated 5 out of 5:
I have stayed at Le Meridien several times over the last few years and it is an excellent hotel. Everything is within walking distance (even the Tower of London if you are feeling energetic). The rooms are superb ? large, clean, and, if you get one at the back, extremely quiet.
If you are visiting London for opera, theatre or just to see the sights it is hard to beat.

review: We booked this hotel for a 60th birthday treat for my father and it did not disappoint. The staff were helpful and friendly, the rooms comfortable, the location excellent and the breakfast well worth the extra. We particularly enjoyed the pool/spa area. The building is old and historical so yes if you look up maybe a bit of plaster work is in need of repair but that hardly detracts from the beauty of this magnificent hotel right in the heart of London. As you would expect the drinks in the bar are pricey but we were their for the experience so didn't mind - you just have to expect that in a 5* hotel in London. we can't wait to stay there again very soon.
