Room was great, pretty clean, two large single/small double beds in my room though I was alone. Bathroom was clean and pretty new with plenty of hot water. They provided towels, shampoo etc. Breakfast was fine, for the price. I payed 30 quid for all this which I thought was brilliant value. They even lent me an iron which was good.<br />The only problem was that the staff and their mates were pretty noisy until about half past midnight. I know that's not late but I had to get up really early so went to bed early and definitely couldn't sleep.

Disliked: Room on fourth floor with no lift and at times narrow stairs which is no good for the older person carrying luggage. Decor poor, damp patches on wall in hotel, breakfast very poor choice for continental. Carpets on stairs dangerous as they are torn and loose - possible trip hazzard.
Overall: Was given a choice of rooms across all floors which in a stairs only place can be tiring going up and down. Took best of a bad bunch. TV positioned in wrong place to watch comfortably, Stand up shower had a damaged holder so had to hold shower head by hand. Tiles in bathroom need grouting as any excess water went under them giving you a spongy effect under foot - god help ceiling below

This 'BUDGET HOTEL' is ideally located just 4 mins walk from London Paddington Railway Station.
There are many budget hotels in the Paddington area all under ?50/60 a night, so people that moan it isn't the Ritz need to wake up to what they are spending!
Helpfull receptionist when checking in, room 13 on third floor (AGAIN NO LIFT AS SMALL BUDGET HOTEL). Pay by cash to avoid credit card charge.
Double room small but ideal for a nights sleep. Shower clean with shampoo, also tea / coffee making facilities.
Was offered bread, butter and jam when checking out at 0500!! Again helpful staff.
Hotel ideal if catching early morning Heathrow Express for early flight. It isn't the Ritz but for ?44 for double you can't complain.

review: staff very helpful and friendly. room clean and was very surprised that towels were changed every day, much impressed. breakfast was very nice and was served straight away. i would definitely stay at this hotel again.
