Rated 4 out of 5:
We stayed at the London Guards hotel for one night on the 20th of July (3 people) and the staff were very helpful. We needed to drop the bags and hit the shops quickly, come back and organise a taxi for the following morning. This was all organised for us and the reception guy let me use his pc to log on and print out the boarding passes very late at night. Due to the time difference between France and England we arrived at breakfast before opening time. We were advised that it would be ready shortly, take a seat and coffee and drinks would be served while we waited. With the air con we also had a fan in our room and slept well. There was wear and tear on the walls etc though for the price/location it was good value. My only thought would be clearer directions as we moved large cases much further than needed.

A great hotel, checked in late on a Sunday night and all staff expecting me. Great room, fridge, plenty of towels etc.
A perfect find in London and excellent location

Rated 4.4 out of 5:
Liked: Brilliant location, basic but not rock-bottom by any means
Disliked: Not new, some refurbishment possible, but not needed at the price
Overall: This hotel is a converted very large georgian terraced house in the region of London directly north of Hyde Park. A short walk took the whole family to the blossom trees and fountains of this oasis in London, and only 10 minutes walk away is Paddington Station. The rooms are all they say they are, and better than most similarly priced hotels. Breakfast is OK if you like Croissant and coffee, though there is no fruit or yoghurt available. Staff are polite and helpful. The location is the best bit of this bargain hotel, and I'd be delighted to return.

Rated 3.5 out of 5:
It was nice to get away for so little. staff was friendly, room was clean and it was cheap. I would defiinitely go again. there was a mix up with my change of room the second night but, receptionist dealt with it quickly and proffesionally

review: Would not choose it again. Staff who were most unwilling to be helpful in any way. We paid 150 pounds for a triple room that turned out to be a double with a single bed added. We found it on an internet site, obviously not a good one, and were very disappointed. Windows rattled all night and there was no heating in the bathroom, which was consequently very cold. Would recommend you find somewhere else!
