| A guest rated the Mandeville Hotel 4.9 out of 5 and said: Brilliant location and very good standard of rooms Wasn't keen on the restaurant menu but didn't eat there Overall: I don't have anything bad to say, the location couldn't have been better for all areas of London. The car park was close and hotel guests benefit from a 25% discount. The rooms were of a high standard with great bathrooms. Very little noise from the street. Great ambience in the bar. Nice bars, cafe's and restaurants right outside. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Would definately book this hotel next time we're in London and recommend to everyone Rated 4.3 out of 5: Liked: Wonderful location, beautiful decor in bar and restaurant, very nice staff, pleasant enough room. Restaurant served excellent food! Disliked: A bit noisy; the doors to the rooms are very heavy and tend to slam when closed. Room was smallish. Bathroom door did not allow for complete privacy or quiet because of frosted glass....no way to have that light on and still provide a dark bedroom if one person wanted to sleep later etc. Overall: We enjoyed our stay despite the above comments. Rated 5 out of 5: I had read on other reviews that the rooms were slightly small and they were but the room we stayed in was lovely and we found it plenty large enough, the bed was comfortable and well made up. The bathroom although small was lovely again with all the facilities you need and the shower was brilliant. Ordered room service and shall we say they were a bit liberal with their helpings but that is not unusual for hotels. the staff were friendly and very helpful. Location wise you are bang in the west end and could walk most places. All in all a nice hotel and would definately recommend staying there. Rated 4 out of 5: Stayed here for two nights with my boyfriend. The continental breakfast that was included in our booking was fine, good selection of cereals, yogurts and fruit. The room we had was small, but it is London, and ours was cleverly designed so never felt cramped. Bed was super comfortable and there was a bath in out bathroom, which is a treat for a hotel in such a central location. Would definitely stay here again, perfect spot for exploring & shopping. 5 minutes to the right and you're in the middle of Marylebone, with loads of places to eat and drink, and 10 minutes stroll to the left and you're on Oxford street! Front desk staff are great, and concierge desk is a lovely touch. We got them to book us a fancy restaurant, that we thought we'd never get a table at! I'll be back fro sure! But don't drink in the hotel bar! We bought two beers, which were 375ml I think, and it can to over 14pounds! Minibar worked out cheaper! |
