Rating out of 10: 10 Date stayed: January 2006 review: I had a fantastic 3 night stay at the Regents Park Marriott hotel. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful and did all they could to ensure that our trip was enjoyable. The hotel itself is in a farely good location, with a short walk to the swiss cottage tube station, and local shops. A taxi from the centre of London cost around £12.00 at rush hour, and there are always plenty of taxis situated in the rank outside the hotel. The room service was reasonably priced, and was delicious as well as quick! The maid-service in the rooms was outstanding. The room i occupied was very tidy and bathroom toiletries, towels, and also bed sheets were replaced every day, no matter what time we left the room. The swimming pool and fitness suite were of a good size, and were always very clean. The hotel was of general good apperance, and the lobby and bar areas were stunning. I had a very nice and comfortable stay at this Marriott and would fully recommend it to anyone looking to stay there. Rating out of 10: 2 Date stayed: October 2005 review: 'Regents Park' Marriott - this hotel is actually in Swiss cottage (don't go out after dark, and if you do - wear a stab vest) and quite a hike from the north end of Regents Park. The taxi fare from the west end back to the hotel will set you back around £27 (40 euros/$47) plus tip. The hotel itself is next to a busy main road (can be noisy) and is on par with your average Moat House but at twice the price. The buffet breakfast was good but will set you back more than a 16oz rib-eye in an Angus steak house - my daughter was not very hungry one morning but we still had to shell out £17 for a bowl of cornflakes and an apple. |
