| Rated 4 out of 5: We normally stay at the Heathrow Marriott or Renaissance hotel when flying out of Heathrow. Booked the Heathrow/Windsor through the Marriott website and got a superb rate for room and car parking. The hotel is a typical Marriott, so you know what you are getting for your money. No trouble finding hotel - just off M4 one junction west of M25. Check in staff very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable. We did not eat at the Hotel, but made use a a "Carvery" just across the road. Hotel hoppa bus runs every 30 minutes and tokk us 20 mins to get to Terminal 3, cost £4. My only complaint is the cost of using the internet if you simply want to check in online for your flight. Much cheaper than other hotels nearer the airport and good quality, so we'll definately be back in the future. Rated 4 out of 5: We stayed here for one night prior to our flights from London Heathrow to JFK. Combining parking at the hotel whilst away on holiday and a night accommodation proir to our flight was a great move. The hotel was clean, tidy, the rooms spacious well stocked, quiet and comfortable. A great meal was had in the hotel restaurant and an undisturbed nights sleep was had by all. The hoppa bus transfer to Heathrow terminals stops right outide the front door of the hotel in the carpark. Would stay here again without a doubt. Couldn't have been better. Rated 4 out of 5: Liked: Room facilities Disliked: Noise in corridors at night Overall: Nice visit, clean hotel but noisy guests due to it being used as an airport hotel Rated 4 out of 5: Rooms were comfortable and had coffee making facilities and a flat screen TV. The food in the hotel's Brasserie was very good, although not cheap. The Toby Carvery across the A4 opposite the hotel was cheap and cheerful although not great if you are a vegetarian. Leisure facilities were excellent. There is a very good pool and a very well equiped gym. Staff were courteous and accommodating at all times. There is a mix of people at the hotel. It is near to Heathrow and Legoland so you get international travellers/business people and families. My only negative was having to pay £9 per night to park my car. That should be free! Rated 4.5 out of 5: We booked a two night stay at the Marriot Heathrow, including breakfast in a family room. We had a straight forward check in, room was nice, modern and clean and staff very helpful. Breakfast was nice (£15 per person so try and get it included with room rate) everything you could imagine from full english to continental, cereals, fruit and pastries. I stayed at this hotel with my husband and two children and there was plenty to do. We took the children swimming there is also a large gym, tennis court, and small playground. On the second day we visited legoland which was ok but too many long queues, and not a nice experience when it is a hot day, would reccomend q-bot on busy days. We aslo visited Windsor town centre which was very nice plenty to see, although we did not go into the castle it was lovely to walk around the outside of it. Overall it was a great weekend and my children (10 & 5) did not want to come home. |
