| Rated 4 out of 5: Liked: the room was away from the hotel and bar, so very quiet, it had a restaurant and also a pub, great breakfast, Disliked: didn't like being refused a drink at 11.01 pm by the bar manager especially having spent all evening there after our meal in dining room Rated 3.5 out of 5: I was only at the Master Robert for one night, transiting through London on the way home, but I would not have stayed for any more. There was a problem with my booking (not really the hotel's fault) but the staff were indifferent and did not seem to be in any rush to resolve it for me. The hotel itself was badly located for someone like me who is reliant on trains and buses, being about 25 minutes or so from Hounslow Central and Hounslow West tube stations (pretty much right in between). Not too bad if you have a car, I guess, and there was parking on-site, but I am not sure if they charge for this. My room on the ground floor was quite big and reasonably clean. I noticed that the glass door to the hallway leading to my room was smashed and for that reason I just didn't feel very secure in my room. The advertised WIFI is only available in the lobby and restaurant. Master Robert was okay, but I think there are better hotels in the area Rated 4.5 out of 5: ]We booked this hotel because of its proximity to Twickenham Rugby Ground. We parked the car at the hotel and walked to the ground within 35 minutes. We were worried that the hotel would be noisy because of its proximity to the A4 and being under the flight path for Heathrow, but we found it to be very quiet. All in all we would thoroughly recommend this hotel, it was great value for money, breakfast excellent, staff very pleasant. Our only critcism was the bed - needed replacing. A guest to the hotel gave the accommodation 3 out of 5 and wrote: My husband and I stayed at this hotel for just one night as we went to see England v Barbarians at Twickenham. After reading the reviews we were quite worried about staying, however it wasn't as bad as we expected. The service at Reception was excellent. The room was a standard, large double, nothing special but ok. We did hear some noise from the room next door but this stopped at about 10.30pm, we didn't hear any planes as our room had secondary glazing. Bathroom was a good size. Yes, the decor and furniture did look a bit tired but for a one stop it was ok. There was a good choice of continental food at breakfast. We both like our comforts and have stayed in much more luxurious hotels than this (Royal Horseguards, London, for example), however this hotel is ok if you don't expect great things. If you are staying for up to 3 nights, then this is an adequate hotel. Also they don't rip you off with drinks prices!!! Liked: Good value for money |
