| A Milestone hotel guest rated the hotel 4.9 out of 5 and commented: a very pleasant environment - comfortable and well furnished looked out into a conservatory - room was a bit dark and public toilet was adjacent - some noise. Overall: We felt well looked after and the staff were very helpful and attentive. As my partner is a wheelchair user, we were disappointed to find that access into the hotel was difficult, using a temporary steep ramp up the back steps which was not ideal, and this detracted from our enjoyment of the visit somewhat. The on line booking system did not prepare us for this and indeed reported the hotel as 'accessible'. It would have been helpful if a contact telephone number was given on the website to allow us to ask about accessibility etc. The installation of a small platform lift at the rear stairs would resolve the access problem. Once inside the hotel, access was good and the staff did all they could to help us. |
