| Rated 4 out of 5: Great location shopping, underground access, airport transport. View from room. Easy check in and check out. Rated 5 out of 5: The hotel was great and had our room ready early so we could drop off our luggage and get to the matinee in good time and have a drink. The staff were all lovely and our room was very comfortable. Our seats at the theatre were good and wicked the musical was amazing. After a good night's sleep we had breakfast at 10.30! The full English breakfast was excellent. The whole experience for myself and my daughters was one to remember. Thank you. Rated 4.5 out of 5: We were a family of four including two teenagers. The rooms (1008 & 1018) were nicely furnished and clean but very small, swinging a cat is out of the question, especially in the bathrooms. The air conditioning didn't work in one room (1018), hot or hotter, but to be fair I didn't have chance to let them know at reception so they could fix it whilst we were there, only told them as we were leaving. A lot of the electrical plug sockets were round pin and therefore useless to a UK traveller. The few square pin sockets were under the desk and only half of them worked so after scrabbling about on my knees I had to unplug the phone/modem so that I could charge a laptop and a phone at the same time. I wouldn't have thought it too hard to put a couple of standard UK sockets easily accessible at desk height. All the staff we met were very friendly and courteous. We only ate breakfast at the hotel which were excellent, but then they should be for the price. Over-all a decent enough hotel for a short London break and handily placed for Harrods and Knightsbridge shopping as well as the Piccadilly line tube but, as with all London hotels, overpriced for what it offers Rated 4 out of 5: We spent 4 nights in early January at the Millennium. We called on the evening we arrived in London and got a fantastic room rate. The location is excellent. You are in the middle of a main shopping area, including Harrods and Harvey Nicks within easy walking distance. You are a short, flat walk to the tube stop on the Piccadilly Line which takes you to Heathrow. (Although you must get your suitcases up and down the stairs as there are no lifts or escalators to the platforms.) We were not happy with the room on our first night (the window did not close properly, so the road noise kept us awake) and we changed rooms the next morning, and the front desk staff were extremely helpful. Our new room was a corner room, and the windows worked, so it was nice and quiet, even though it faced the street. The hotel has standard and superior rooms, with the superior rooms being much larger and in better locations within the hotel. We were very happy with our standard room. Beds were comfortable. The hotel is a little tired looking, but I think they are in the process of refurbishing the rooms. The room had internet access, but because of our cheap room rate, it was an extra cost and a large amount per day. So we purchased 5 day WiFi access with BT for GBP15 and we could access this wherever BT had coverage. As tourists in London, we found this to be an excellent hotel. |

| Rating out of 10: 9 Date stayed: March 2005 review: I stayed with my family at the Millenium Knightsbridge last week. It was part of a package with Virgin Atlantic. In a broad sense, high marks for the hotel. The rooms are small, which is expected, but I thought they were nice and well maintained. The only real problem I had with the hotel is the continental breakfast. Great selection, but you have to ask for toast (they supposedly bring you) and bigger pots of coffee. Once the waiter/waitress is gone, all bets are off. They dissapear. Still, good hotel, felt safe, clean and nice front desk staff. |
