| Rated 4.5 out of 5: Breakfast is delicious, with high quality pastries and good coffee. Staff and service are excellent and responsive. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with lovely bathrobes and slippers for extra comfort. Proximity to British Museum is outstanding! Deluxe double is billed as more spacious, but only just offers room around the bed. Mattress was a wee bit soft. A Montagu on the Gardens guest rated the hotel 5 out of 5 and added: We stayed in The Queen suite. Couldn't fault it in any way. The decor and comfort were the best we have ever found! Overall: The staff were first class. We were greeted warmly on arrival, luggage taken up to our room. Very impressed with a complimentary bottle of champagne and platter of fresh fruit! The Hotel has thought of everything for your comfort, the room was fully equipped with complimentary toiletries, writing bureau with stationery, magazines and PC. We highly recomend this Hotel and can't wait to come back! |

| Rating out of 10: 10 Date stayed: August 2008 review: The Montague is an eclectic mix of character and comfort. The rooms are wonderfully designed with space and comfort paramount to the guest experience. A bug must for me, as I travel a lot, is that the place I am staying must feel like an extension of home, safe, comfortable and a place where you can happily be on your own. The personalisation is terrific. I particularly enjoy the Bar and lounge areas. The Bar with its music on some nights opens onto the terrace on those barmy summer evenings to an exclusive garden area right at the heart of London giving an almost country experience. Well done to everyone. |
