| A guest who stayed at the Pelham Hotel rated the stay as 5 out of 5 and
said: This elegant Georgian hotel is in a fab location, opposite ken High Street tube station, on good bus routes, has all the popular museums at the top of the road, Harrods and Chelsea on the door step. The decor is a clever mixture of traditional Georgian but with some lovely contemporary touches in the lighting, art work and textiles. Our room was a little cramped but that was because we had a teenager in a 'z' bed however, the three large windows and light touches with the decoration made it feel ok. The bathroom was immaculate and nicely appointed. The hotel has two lounges - one being light and elegant at the front of the hotel with a lovely fire, comfortable sofas, honesty bar (with ice cream in the freezer) , the other has laptop and internet access and being smaller and with darker decor, is cosier. We didn't use the basement restaurant but the menu looked interesting. What also made The Pelham special was Jamie the concierge who was brilliant and made our stay even better with his expert local knowledge and helpful manner. We stayed here over New year and obviously paid New year prices but these were no where near the prices other similar hotels were asking. I would definitely go back and would recommend it to all. Rated 5 out of 5 : Stayed here for two nights. Got a lovely room -- large for London with a superb bathroom at the rear of the hotel. Quiet yet bright. Kiwi at the front desk very helpful and full of info. Breakfast is very good -- fresh and pleasently served. You will not beat the location of this hotel. It is right opposite the Tube entrance and close to alot of the museums. Taxis plentiful. Try the "Fromage shop" opposite for a teatime treat- amazing. Very friendly staff who cannot do enough for you at any time of the day or night. Night Porter brilliant. All in all, I will be back. |
