review: On arrival i thought I had been transported to another country! It was 11pm and there were people in the lobby area with the night staff (including a very young child running around). No smiles greeted us, just stares.  we were given a twin room and therefore asked if we could have a double, and were given the keys to a room in 'the basement'.  This room can only be described as a hookers venue!!  it was so dire and disgusting that we went back and took the twin room!!  There were no tean & cofee making facilities in the room as decsribed, nor was there a hair dryer.  We were tired and wanted a drink before bed, but didn't feel at all easy about going back down to ask at reception.  The beds were fine, and sheets clean (i checked), the room was shabby but warm and ok for just one night.  The 'dining room' however, was another story....it was crowded (to a very uncomfortable limit) with no spare tables, people grabbing at the limited toast that came out every so often, hard boiled eggs and cheese - hardly continental!!  There was no coffee, the plates were seriosly chipped and in general the room was more like a hostel than a hotel.

review: Dreadful - the room was minute and the bathroom was on a different floor! It was dirty with poor facilities, poor help, poor food; they didn't even have an AtoZ. AVOID.

review: I simply want to say that this hotel was absolutely disgusting. Not only were the rooms tiny, the towels smelly and dirty, the carpet stained and soiled, and the curtains old and tattered, but it was also a hotbed of vermin. Let me explain: during my very unpleasant four-night stay (in which the staff of the hotel stood outside the window at talked loudly till all hours), I was bitten dozens and dozens of times by bedbugs. My arms, back, hands and legs were covered with itchy bites
everywhere. The bites looked awful and took about two weeks to go away, though some of the largest are still visible after almost a month. My doctor confirmed that it was very likely that they were bedbug bites because of the number of them and the fact that many appeared in straight lines. When I complained to the desk staff at the time, they did nothing for me but change my room and NEVER allowed me to talk to a manager. I asked to speak to the hotel manager on two different days, and both times they told me there was no manager on that day (Sunday and Monday). The hotel offered me no compensation, no excuses and even admitted that it was not the first time this had happened to a guest (they said "not many people had complained of that before")!! This ruined my trip to London, as well
as the weeks to come, as I felt disgusting and disfigured. Please do not stay at the Pembridge "Palace" and please warn anyone else against doing so. My greatest regret is not gathering more information to sue the hotel. If something like this happens to you, I recommend that you see a doctor, the health authorities and the police immediately so that any later complaint will be fully documented.

review: Arrived looking forward to overnight stay & waking up Valentines day with my girlfriend!
This however all changed upon arrival at the Pembridge Palace Hotel!!!!!
Clean reception, no help given lifting suitcases up staircase just watched by two men sitting behind the counter.
Nice lifts, lobby carpet, pictures hanging
I had booked via the internet www.milefaster.co.uk & had rang the day prior to our arrival to ensure all was ok & room was reserved in our name-Yes the lady told me it was all ok & we look forward to your arrival.
When advising the recpetion of our name etc. & reservation they (without a smile)advised that my booking was not on the screen however yes we have a room!
This was the followed by numerous discussions in a foreign language we could not understand? & we were given the keys to room 105-agggggggggggggggh
Entered the room and found ourselves in a small box with hardly any room to move around the bed, no tea/coffee making facilities, small fuzzy colour picture tv, a carpet that looked like it had never been hoovered, bed cover that was grubby & fit for the bin, bathroom was fairly clean however very poor shower (no power or heat).
This was no way in what we expected to arrive at even if it is 3 star (we would say 1-2* max)
It totally ruined our weekend, the breakfast room was cramped, hot & the waitress did not even speak english & just said sit & pointed to full tables occupied by other guests.
We are not sure if we have just been given the cheapest room in the building however we would by no way recommend this hotel to anyone!
We felt totally disapointed with our stay
