| Rated 4.2 out of 5: Excellent position for London Eye, Westminster and walking about tourist sites and Waterloo for easy access to trains for day trips out of the city. Very good breakfasts and staff who were very hardworking in a busy breakfast dining room. The hotel was fairly full and only 2 of the 3 lifts were working and at one stage only 1 was in action. Long waits to use the lift on several occasions. A guest of the hotel rate the experience 5 out of 5 and said: I don't usually do this but felt I had to this time as some people are quick to complain and reluctant to give credit where credit is due. I took my wife and 2 teenage kids to London recently for a short break. I spent alot of time searching for a hotel that was central and reasonably priced and based on the reviews on Trip Advisor I opted for Premier Inn County Hall. I was very suprised when I learned that they had family rooms available and very happy with the price of our 3 night stay considering the location. As my Children were both under sixteen they could eat breakfast for free as long as the adults paid for their breakfast, another great saving. When I arrived I expected something very basic but was pleasently suprised, the outside was of an old building but the inside had been renovated to a modern design, fresh and clean. We arrived early not expecting to check in but hoped we could leave our luggage in a room whlie we explored London. The reception staff gave us a lovely welcome, they checked with housekeeping to see if there was a family room ready which there was and they checked us in there and then. The room was very spacious and the bathroom was very clean, even my daughter commented and she can be very fussy about things like that. The London Eye was literally on the doorstep of the hotel with Waterloo Station less that five minutes walk. All in all we had a great time in the Premier Inn, the location was great, the Staff from housekeeping , bar/restaurant and reception were all very pleasant and helpful. I'd have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone staying in London. Liked: Price, Location, Staff Disliked: Restaurant Menu choice was limited. |

| Rating out of 10: 10 Date stayed: March 2009 review: staff was friendly, helpful, breakfasts excellent and tasty, rooms large and roomy, beds comfortable, bathrooms clean and lots of hot water. They were very kind to all in our group which was a large high school theater group from USA. Didn't even complain when we gathered in the lobby before breakfast, stored our luggage until check in time in a locked storeroom convenient to our rooms, would have assigned rooms but we'd not planned to handle that until evening on the itinerary as we arrived early am. Ice cream and snacks in the vending machines were fresh and tasty, not old and stale like one sometimes finds. Consistently found the staff went above and beyond to help us out with even the smallest question or request. |
