| Rated 3.8 out of 5: What I liked about Premier Inn Gatwick Airport Central was feeling confident beforehand that I would have comfortable and clean accommodation when I arrived at the hotel and would be in a very convenient location for a flight the following morning. This was exactly what happened. There were no problems encountered and my expectations were met. Rated 4 out of 5: I stayed prior to a long-haul flight. The room was spacious and very comfortable. I had the misfortune to become ill during the night but the lady in the breakfast room in the morning was very solicitous and tried to help with advice. Two small complaints: when I arrived at 9 p.m. check in seemed very slow. Also Some biscuits in the room would have been nice. A guest to the hotel awarded the hotel 4 out of 5 saying: Picked this hotel for an overnight stay before a flight as you can walk to it from the North Terminal. To be honest didn't really know when to expect but was pleasantly surprised. Had walking directions from the North Terminal, with 1 case on wheels this was no problem (once we had negotiated the building works at the terminal) about 7 mins and we were there. We were checked in by a very nice man, nothing was too much trouble. I had been tipped off to book a table in the restaurant when we arrived for that night, again pleasant staff. Entered the hotel room and again was surprised by the size, we had a double and a single bed, fair size bathroom with shower gel and soap, good shower. There was a coffee machine, tv and a hard chair to sit at the writing desk. Although we were over looking the entrance to the hotel it was very quiet except a very slight hum when the airport bus arrived. When we went down for a drink to the bar, the same man who had checked us in saw us and asked if everything was alright. There are a few tables outside in the sun where you can take drinks, so you don't have sit in your room, there is a small bar area as well as a much larger restaurant area. I wasn't expecting much from the restaurant- but it was good, I can recommend the Barbeque Smothered Chicken highly! for dessert the brownie with ice cream was tasty, but way too much- you get 2 generous pieces of brownie. Overall I would stay here again If I needed to be at Gatwick again overnight |
