Rated 4 out of 5:
We had a two night stay here in a party of eight people with children and teenagers. The family room we stayed in was very clean and believe me I checked over everything. Bathroom was spotless with soap and shower gel provided, which was a surprise as I was expecting basic with nothing provided. Shower had great pressure and bath was huge. We were on main road side of hotel but heard no noise due to double glazing. Flatscreen tv with freeview, tea and coffee and hairdryer provided, extra pillows delivered immediately on request. Staff were extremely helpful at check-in, which took 1 minute, to bar and restaurant. We paid £118 for two nights in family room in half term so it was without doubt value for money. Bit of a hike to tube if you have young children but get a rover ticket and hop on a bus, it's all included and bus stop outside hotel.
We ate in restaurant for breakfast which was fantastic, very fresh and good selection. Had one evening meal there and good value pub grub style food, certainly suits purpose if you're so tired you don't want to go back out to eat after long day!
I obviously didn't see every room in hotel but everywhere we did see was clean, bright and modern and we had a fabulous time!

Rated 4 out of 5:
We stayed in a no frills family room with two adults and boys ages 10 and 14. One of the twin beds was on the floor with no box springs. The room was small, but as I understand it virtually all affordable accommodation in London is. A child eats free with an adult, so two of us had breakfast for £7.95. There is a 24 hour Cost Cutters across the street with food, drink, current converters and some other basics. There are city buses along the road, and the London Bridge Tube stop a 10-15 minute walk away. You can buy an all day city pass at the London Bridge Tube station. The area between London Bridge and Tower Bridge has several restaurants and is a nice walk, and Tower Bridge was lit up at night. There is a stop for the on-off tourist bus on Tooley Street. There is Internet, for a daily fee. You can purchase Business or Economy, which offer different priority and bandwidth. We bought the Business for 24 hours, which wasn't particularly fast. Staff were friendly and helpful. Giving 4 stars relative to what else I perceive is out there at this price point.

Rated 4.4 out of 5:
I would stay in this hotel again service & food all to a high standard.
Disliked: No mini fridge in room, not a major problem.
Overall: Easy access to public transport. I would also like to reiterate that the staff could not have been more helpful.

A guest rated the stay as 4 out of 5 and said:

A party of 9 (6 adults, 3 children) stayed here 12th December 2008 and we very satisfied. The hotel is about a 15min walk from Tower Hill tube and that I would say is the only downside especially when you have a 3 year old with you. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean, we had asked requested a family room, triple and double room, when we arrived at 2pm only the double was ready therefore we left our luggage in this room and went off to do our sightseeing. On our return the other rooms were ready; the family room had a single bed made up (converts to a sofa) and a proper mattress on the floor, the triple room had the sofa bed made up. What impressed us was the fact that these beds were made up (I have been to numerous hotels and had to get the bedding from the wardrobe and make up myself or have had to telephone reception and request the bed we had booked), staying in a 'budget' hotel I thought that would be a job we would have to do ourselves. The rooms were well insulated we never heard anything from the corridor or any of the other rooms, and even though we faced a main road never heard a car all night. The breakfast cost £7.50 and would highly recommend it it was superb with a fantastic selection and everything was fresh. My brother and his wife and 3 children are here from New Zealand and were expecting to pay a fortune for breakfast therefore were really pleased to be told that as the children were all under the age of 16 they would eat for free, where in London can you get 5 'eat as much as you like breakfasts' for £15.00 On the Friday night we ate in the restaurant connected to the hotel and again have no complaints about that, if you are looking for a la carte then you would be disappointed but otherwise good food, can recommend the maple ribs they were fantastic. When we first got to London we got lost(!) and ended up at the Premier Inn Southwark, after realising our mistake the hotel said if they had the amount of rooms we needed they would have been more than willing to transfer us to their hotel, how is that for a service? The staff at our hotel were really friendly and helpful and cannot fault the hotel at all. Would I recommend this hotel? yes I would and on this experience would consider staying at a Premier Inn again.
Liked: Cleanliness and good reasonably priced food
Disliked: The walk to the nearest tube
