| Rated 5 out of 5: I stay at this hotel for one or two nights on avergae every 2 weeks. It is consistently good and in some areas i.e. Club Rooms it excels itself. The restaurant staff are always attentive and efficient. It has a large car park and parking is complimetary with club rooms and meeting rooms. The bar staff are friendly and it is never too much trouble to reorganise tables for lunch in the bar for large partys, bring extra menus etc. I often forget to add my PC number to my reservation but this has always been added for me when I check in. The club lounge hostess is excellent and always remembers the faces of the regulars, you can order your food via the club lounge and then proceed to the restaurant when it is ready. If I was to criticise anyhting I would ahve to say that some of the reception staff at times can be a bit curt but they are always attentive. The temperature of the rooms during Spring and Autumn can be a problem with the air con not coolling things down but I have mentioned this before and I am hopeful that this will be addressed this winter. I ahve used this hotel for business and lesiure and would thoroughly recommend it. Rated 4 out of 5: We stayed here before going on summer hols in July. Party consisted of myself, husband and 13 year old daughter. I booked a package that included B&B, 15 days secure car parking - cost about £75. On arrivel - the hotel is tucked away in a relatively quiet part of Crawley. It looks attractive with a clean, contemporary style to the entrance. There is a large car park and for July, it was quiet. Reception - a large area with friendly, polite staff. The area seemed very clean and tastefully decorated. We were given an explanation of how the 'meet and greet' car parking operated and left our car keys with reception, who issued a receipt with a telephone no. to call on return. Public area - again clean and contemporary (newly refurbished?) - there is a large bar area with an 'open plan' restaurant behind. The leisure centre - smallish pool, but was quite crowded as it was a weekend, and part of hotel that could do with a facelift. There is a jacuzzi and one end of the pool is also a jacuzzi. The changing area is small but quite clean - downside was no drying machine, or plastic bags, for wet swimsuits. The gym looked quite well equipped and clean - there was no one using it when we were there but it is open to public membership - free to hotel guests. The rooms - very pleasant, well lit with contemporary style lights - the bedside lights were very stylish. The room is decorated in creams and chocolate colours with lots of pillows/ cushions. My daughter slept on a sofa bed, which she said was very comfortable. Downside, the room was a little small for 3 people - fine for 2 though. It was spotlessly clean and no trace of any stale cigarette smoke etc. Nice touches - the free bottles of mineral water, fridge, tea/coffe and biscuits and a little box of aromatherapy pillow spray to aid a good nights sleep. The bathroom - again, tasteful decor and spotless. Nice array of complimentary bath goodies, fluffy white towels and good shower with bath. We chose to eat in the hotel bar, but the hotel is within walking disatnce of the town centre. The menu has a good selection and the food was fresh, a good standard and the service was polite. The bar area was quite busy - a good sign that most people ate there in the evening. Breakfast was in the restaurant - buffet style. Again, clean and a good selection for all tastes. There is an airport bus that stops at the hotel and arrived on time too! There is a small fee for this service - children went free. On our return to Gatwick we 'phoned the number given and someone brought our car to arrivals - we had to pay about £7 for this, as we arrived back at 01.00hrs - worth it for not having the hassle of waiting for an airport bus to take us to a car park in the dark. We would use this hotel in the future - its quiet and tucked away with no aircraft flying low overhead. We liked the cleanliness, style and politeness of the staff. Rated 4.7 out of 5: Liked: comfortable, efficent and courteous staff Disliked: difficult to think of a critism Overall: if breakfast was included in price. As we live in Ireland and were using your hotel enroute to Canada we were unsure of location re airport also if there was a 24 hr. booking in service Rated 4.5 out of 5: too much noise from air con units outside but apart from that this is a 1st class hotel |

Rating out of 10: 2 Date stayed: June 2005 review: booked into the hotel just before going on our honeymoon, we were very disappointed. We were told by the receptionist that we had to pay 50 pounds depoist in case we break something!! There were no tea or coffee making equipment. We were woken at 7.30am to the sound of workman. Once we left the hotel the rest of our honeymoon was lovely Rating out of 10: 3 Date stayed: August 2005 review: Not value for money even at a reduced price. Hotel under refurbishment. Scaffolding over half. Work on Saturdays. Pool out of action. Allocated an old room nothing like web photo. Most things broken in bathroom. Bed cover threadbear. Restaurant decor new food poor. (Milesfaster editorial: hotel says pool will open after the refurbishment on September 3rd 2005) |
