NAME CHANGE TO CROWNE PLAZA GATWICK CRAWLEY IN OCTOBER 2007 (major refurbishment and extensions and can be thought of as a totally new hotel since the below reviews) |

Rating out of 10: 2 Date stayed: June 2005 review: booked into the hotel just before going on our honeymoon, we were very disappointed. We were told by the receptionist that we had to pay 50 pounds depoist in case we break something!! There were no tea or coffee making equipment. We were woken at 7.30am to the sound of workman. Once we left the hotel the rest of our honeymoon was lovely Rating out of 10: 3 Date stayed: August 2005 review: Not value for money even at a reduced price. Hotel under refurbishment. Scaffolding over half. Work on Saturdays. Pool out of action. Allocated an old room nothing like web photo. Most things broken in bathroom. Bed cover threadbear. Restaurant decor new food poor. (Milesfaster editorial: hotel says pool will open after the refurbishment on September 3rd 2005) |
