| Rated 4 out of 5: Fantastic Hotel, and ideal for it's purpose as a Heathrow Stopover. The service is excellent and the building and fitments superb. The restaurants and bars are top quality and there rae also "special offers" to make your dining very reasonable The only reason that it didn't get top marks was that we were in room 3015 which appears to be situated next door to the lift winding gear, which kept us awake for periods. Specify that you dont want that room, and I suspect that elusive extra star may well be on the horizon. We stayed on a stay/park (1 night sleep and 16 day parking whilst we went abroad)very good value. Rated 4 out of 5: This hotel is conveniently located for T5 (about 5/10 mins in a cab). Our room was furnished to a good standard and was immaculately clean. The room was not as chic as the room I stayed in at the Radisson at Canary Wharf and smaller, although they are furnished in a similar style. The room was noise proofed to a high standard meaning I could not hear any noise from outside the room (so ignore the previous reviewer's comments about it being impossible to get any sleep as this is simply nonsense). The TV signal was a bit weak, so even though the room had a brand new flat screen, the picture quality was not as good as it could have been although it was still acceptable. The taxi which concierge booked us to T5 was much more expensive than the black cab I got to the hotel (almost double), it would be good if the hotel could squeeze better deals for its customers from the taxi supplier it uses. The hotel was recommended to me by two separate parties, and I would also definitely recommend it. It was a good base for Heathrow and good value too. Indeed if you need to leave a car, the free parking is great value for money. Staying in this hotel and leaving a car here is only marginally more expensive than if you were to book a week's parking alone with a car concierge service. Rated 4 out of 5: This place is coveted as being a top airport hotel and you can see why. It was odd looking from outside but inside it was plush and really nice. We were upgraded to a suite on check in by virtue of our honeymoon and the suite was great. TV in the lounge was too small but I think they are in the process of changing these anyway. The bathroom was huge, the bed was big and comfy and the lounge area was cosy. The main bar was trendy and did not feel like a hotel bar, more like something you would find in a trendy suburb of London. The food in the main restaurant was good but not spectacular, though it was good value so all round positive. In summary if you need to stay at an airport hotel and want to have a more extravagant start to a holiday - this is the place at Heathrow. Rated 4.5 out of 5: Excellent customer service from reception to brasserie! practical, quiet ,comfortable and a home away from home Only criticism was dopey concierge and awful decor in the brasserie when everything is so....well Edwardian! |
