Maybe slightly overgraded as a 5 star hotel, maybe more like 4 star, stayed here for a theatre week-end with Red Letter Days and can say that this is a great hotel in a fabulous location. Service from our check-in was handled very professionally and with a smile. Helen on reception was very pleasant and did everything she could to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The rooms were adequate but could possible do with a slight update in some areas, i.e. the curtains were falling from the rail when trying to drawer them. The bathroom area was lovely and immaculately clean The food at breakfast was excellent with a great choice and again served with a smile. Would recommend this hotel and would have no hesitation staying here again

We visit London several time during the year. This is the first time we stayed at the Mayfair Hotel. All fab, really liked the bar, modern, music brill and atmosphere fab. The staff were excellent. Will be back....

Great service, beautiful room - a little clinical but very well appointed, would recommend staying. Grace from the check in team was really welcoming. Bar too busy to get served after coming back from dinner but staff were trying to get all customers served as soon as possible.

We were visiting friends in London in the new year and decided to stay near the action for the first couple of nights. Due to this, the May Fair suited us perfectly as it was close to many of the attractions that London has to offer, as well as having a tube stop a couple of minutes walk away. The room we were given was not too exciting, and the aligator printed bed head took a little getting used to. However, it was clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family based on the excellent location and lack of fuss that accompanied our two nights at the May Fair. The staff were always very attentive when we needed anything and there were always one or two people to open the door for you. They also arranged an early check-in when they saw that my Partner was exhausted from the flight over from Australia. Our only disappointment was the size of the room for the price that we paid - having said that, I guess that is what you get in London these days!

Hotel room was small but very clean and comfortable, overlooked the street and the Nobu restaurant, which was great for celebrity spotting but not so good in the middle of the night when they were all leaving! Everything about the hotel was great, only small criticism was the lifts which seemed to have a mind of their own!

Almost faultless stay except (and as usual) the hairdryer was placed in the darkest part of the bathroom (in the wardrobe) and could not be moved. When will hotels re-learn that ladies need a dressing table with good light and a mirror? Also the pillow was as hard as rock and I would have expected a hotel of this calibre to offer at least two per person, per bed so that you had the choice between hard and soft.
