| Rated 5 out of 5: The hotel is just off Leicester Square and therefore ideally located for shopping and theatre trips in London's West End. I received a very friendly and professional welcome from Ankita at reception and indeed all staff that I encountered. If you add the lovely, modern clean bedroom and bathroom that we stayed in to to the excellent service, you have the perfect recipe for a wonderful, relaxing stay. Upon checking out, we decided to do some shopping on the Sunday morning and the staff securely stored away our luggage for a few hours to save us from carrying it around. This will be our first choice of hotel at which to stay during our next weekend trip to London. Rated 4 out of 5: Booked this hotel to celebrate my husband's birthday/retirement. We had tickets to see Mamma Mia! and I wanted to stay in a good hotel in the area. Slightly concerned at the mixed reviews on this site but, on balance, decided to go ahead. On arrival, the receptionist was very welcoming and polite; very smooth check-in. The room was fine, although smaller than I had expected as I thought deluxe might be more than a larger bed. We were disappointed that we were not able to eat in the restaurant but I suppose we left it too late to book early dinner before the show. In fairness, we were offered a booking in the sister hotel but had been attracted by the fishy menu at our hotel. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and would be happy to stay again. Rated 5 out of 5: A superb hotel just off the square. The hotel was very clean, modern and comfortable, we were greeted on arrival and check-in was speedy, soon up to our room on the 7th floor and it was a lovely surprise at how spacious it was!, huge walk in wet room style shower with a free standing bath next to it The beds where extremely comfortable and tvs, telephone and internet all worked well. Breakfast is a real nice leisurely affair and the staff are very attentive, good choice on the menu and food is of excellent quality!!. Hotel well placed for all the west end shows. Piccadilly circus, Chinatown, regent st and tube and bus links very close!!! Certainly recommend this hotel and will certainly return again next time in London!! Rated 4.7 out of 5: Liked: Staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel is modern and extremely clean. Search the net for a breakfast included package as it will cost you an additional £17.00 at the hotel. Thankfully I had an inclusive package but would've paid the £17.00 anyway. Disliked: If your room overlooks the front of the hotel you will hear the noise coming from Leicester Square on a Saturday night! Overall: Excellent. Would definately stay here again. In walking distance of the theatres & main shopping areas as well as restaurants and bars being on the doorstep. Rated 4.5 out of 5: Excellent hotel right in the centre of things. All shows, and restaurants are available a short walk away. Easy access from either Leicester Square tube or Piccadilly Circus. Staff friendly, helpful and practical. Minor problem with the wardrobe fixed instantly. Price near the top of the range for a quality hotel but we think it is worth it. Rated 3.5 out of 5: Location of this Hotel was excellent. General helpfulness of staff was very good. What was poor is that for a coffee after 5pm or a drink post theatre at 11pm you have to go to the Radisson opposite (The Hampshire). A which point you then get the inquisition as to who you are and proving that you are indeed staying at their Sister Hotel before they will serve you. I stayed at the Radisson Kenilworth recently and felt it far better value for money and will probably stay there mext time. |

| Rating out of 10: 3 Date stayed: December 2006 review: Certainly not a 4 star hotel.Grubby bathroom and dust in the room.Unhelpful receptionist.Great breakfast which is why we rated it 3/10 as it would have been a zero. Rating out of 10: 4 Date stayed: February 2006 review: This hotel no way deserves its four star rating, I checked in and the single room I was allocated (305)was very much a cell. It was the middle of the afternoon but the room was still dark due to the very small window facing a fire escape. I would have gone crazy if I had stayed there, I was reallocated another room (307)which was better but the hotel in general does not seem secure. The stairs can be accessed from the steeet without been seen from reception and bearing in mind it is on the edge of the Soho area, it is nice to know there are no undesirable characters in the hotel. There are no chains on the inside of the bedroom doors and overall it is run down. There is loose carpet on the stairs and the lift if full if two people use it. I do not recomend this hotel unless it is a last resort. |
