Definitely the the best airport hotel I've been to.
decided to stay the last night at Stansted as i had an early morning flight. check-in very friendly and efficient. the room a bit small, but quiet and tidy, a king bed, ironing equipment, good-sized safe, uk and European sockets, nice bath and wired & cable internet access.
had a sandwich and a coffee at the lobby bar, very good service and the sandwiches pretty good.
check-out was probably the fastest i've ever experienced. a few minutes to the airport security control. really a good choice, at least for me.

We had an early morning flight from Stansted and decided to stay overnight and leave our car with the hotel. The check in staff were efficient & friendly, the room clean and of a good size and overall the service was good.
I didn't find the food & drinks particularly expensive as mentioned in other reviews compared to what you would expect to pay in general in hotels. The car parking was so convenient - we were home within an hour of our plane landing. The hotel is perfect for an overnight stay before a early flight and makes sure your rested and ready to go for the first day of your vacation.

I chose to stay at this hotel mainly because my flight was arriving late and I needed somewhere close to stay in Stansted. The staff are lovely, very professional. Can't fault the room, the bed is comfy, its quiet, and has all the things you would expect from a good hotel. I did however find an apple under my bed and there was a toenail in the corner. I did tell the hotel when I was checking out and they were really embarrassed and offered to give me the breakfast for free as an apology. I would definitely stay again, not for the view of course ( as it is bleak) but for the lovely service and the quality of the room. Also they offer smoking rooms, which as a smoker I appreciated.

review: I stayed at the Stansted SAS traveling through London in July and again in August. Its an outstanding sanctuary after putting up with the stress and pace of air travel. Once inside the door of the hotel, you feel all the rush of the day leave. The rooms are outstanding, services are THE best. I wish I lived closer because I'd go there muh more often just for some relaxation. This place is well worth the stay, I can promise you this.
