| A Radisson Edwardian Sussex Hotel guest gave the hotel 3 out of 5 and
explained: Some of these rooms are too small against what the competitor hotels offer in this location. If you're just planning on sleeping in it, then I guess not a problem and if your trip is for seeing all the the West end has to offer, the location just 1/2 block from Oxford St, will make up for it. Plan any time in your hotel room though, you should opt for somewhere else. Service was excellent, and the breakfast is high quality food and a nicely presented buffet. The lift is in desperate need of updating. Rated 4 out of 5: I like this hotel. Very central - tucked away 30 seconds from Oxford Street and less than 2 minutes from Marble Arch tube station. My room on the 4th (top floor) was small but not too small. It was a single with a 3/4 bed, a desk with tea/coffee, minibar (weight operated so you can't store your own stuff in it), an amazing souding Bang & Olufsen TV, safe, built in wardobe with iron/ironing board, aircon, bathroom with bathtub/shower and gilchrist & soames (fixed dispensers). Room very nicely decorated (modern brown wood furniture, cushions/throws etc.) and nice and clean. Only one lift in the hotel which means you have to wait a few minutes at busy times (no big deal) but the restuarant is too small this morning (New Years Day). I am currently typing this review back in my hotel room having been told a table for breakfast will not been ready for at least 20 minutes; its been 30 minutes so far! I guess the hotel is very busy today. Rated 4 out of 5: We were very impressed with the price of our mini break and were wondering if anything was going to go wrong. We were very pleasantly surprised. Everything went with ease. The journey down was smooth. The underground was easy to navigate, the staff at Kings Cross tube station were very helpful. The hotel was easy to find and the staff very friendly and helpful. We went to see We Will Rock You. It was fantastic!! Our second day was spent having a leisurely stroll around London. Did all the touristy things. All in all was a great break and managed to recharge our batteries. Will definately do this again!! rated 4 out of 5: A liitle difficult to find but very convenient for the top end of Oxford Street. The room was small but comfortable with modern furnishings, everything worked, the bathroom had a good shower so nothing to complain about. I probably would not want to spend more than a night or two here, it might start to feel claustraphobic. The lift was out of action on the day I arrived so there was a bit of a shlep up a narrow staircase ut the receptionist was very apologetic. I felt sorry for the room service waitress who had to run up the stairs with my club sandwich! This is probably a hotel best suited to business travellers needing an overnight or two. |
