| Rated 4.4 out of 5: the staff were very pleasant and helpful, great hotel and ideal for the 02 arena Rated 4 out of 5: We stayed at the Ramada Docklands whilst in London to attend an event at the O2 Arena. We were driven in by family and the entrance a bit confusing in the dark and at first appeared in an isolated area. However in the daylight we discovered the Docklands Light Railway ran right past the front and was only a short 2 stop ride to access the tube to the Arena. The railway also takes you right into London, terminating at Tower Bridge...very convenient, quick and clean it was too. Back to the hotel..... a new build, therefore everything is bright shiny and new. The staff were efficient and not over attentive or pushy. There is a small gym area with good quality equipment and the hotel fronts onto Victoria Dock. Canary Wharf very close by. The room we had was right up on the roof and the view was fab. Good quality furnishings, triple glazing, comfortable beds, fab food 24 hour room service and also right next to London City airport. We watched the planes coming in to land every breakfast time! All told, I cannot fault this hotel and would recommend to anyone looking for good quality accommodation in London outside of the usual central locations. Rated 3.9 out of 5: Disliked: Although we managed to get a parking space, the cost for pay and display was very high in the event of the free spaces being used up. Overall: Good clean accommodation close to Excel and centre and easy access to DLR Rated 4.5 out of 5: We arrived early and even though check in time was at 1400hrs, we were pleased when the staff allocated us another room. Very convenient as we would not have checked in until after 1800hrs otherwise. The only downside to our accommodation was the location. We were visiting the O2 arena and chose the hotel because of it's distance to and from the venue. It was a little disappointing to find that O2 was not within walking distnce (1.5 miles), however, it did not stop us from having a great time. There was parking at reasonable rates. A hotel guest rated the stay as 4 out of 5 saying: Have just returned from staying at this hotel for 7 nights.Enjoyed the stay room was very nicely furnished and clean huge bathroom.Staff were all very pleasant and the english breakfast was good.Hotel a bit way out but easy to get into the centre of London by the DLR and tube using an oyster card it cost £2.50 near the way at peak time the journey would not put me of using the hotel again.The oval bar was a nice place to relax after a busy day in London had one bar meal which i really enjoyed.The hotel is very close to the O2 ARENA and the EXCEL EXHIBITION CENTRE |
