Stopped for the weekend on the B&B rate.. It is as other people say, a bit worn and could do with a refurb. The rooms are small (room 355) but it is comfortable, and we found it to be quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the heating was quite control-able. The staff were all very friendly and the buffet breakfast was fine, normal hotel fare. It's in a super location, with about a 200yd walk to Queensway Underground station. I would say it's not a 4*, but this is Central London, and for the price is not bad value.

We had 5 very pleasant nights at this hotel in early October to begin our European holiday. It was perfectly adequate for our needs, with ample space in a standard double. We arrived after a 22 hour long haul from Sydney early on a rainy London morning. Our room wasn't ready (although other guests who arrived on the same airport transfer were given immediate access to a room). There was no where in the lobby where we could have a little privacy to organise ourselves to go out (reorganise our luggage for jackets etc) while we waited for the room to be made up. We were not offered any staff assistance in this regard. Not compulsory I suppose but would have made a huge impression of superior service if the staff had been a bit more sensitive to our needs in this regard. We returned to the hotel at 2pm and checked in to Rm 466. It was perfectly adequate. Comfortable, clean, nicely furnished, good air conditioning and bathroom (small but all the plumbing worked). There was ample room to unpack and place bags away, good desk space and chairs to sit in as well as a comfortable and clean king size bed. Room cleaning was always good. Breakfast was included in our package. That was very good although it helped to get to breakfast before the rush. Real good cup of tea served and good variety of hot food. But the real benefit of this hotel is the location. Right on the Bayswater road opposite the Park and Kensington Gardens), close to the tube, and excellent facilities and restaurants around Queensway and Notting Hill (both walkable). With an Travelcard/Oyster card in tow, London is yours. We loved it. (Noticed that the rack rate for this hotel is 260 pounds per double).

For a 4-star hotel I had expected a bit more. I'd like to stress it wasn't all that bad but just small things. I feel the hotel needs a makeover. It's seen better days! Our room was small, no cupboard/storage just a shelf and coat rack with hangers. Bathroom small, our bath needed some TLC and vigorous cleaning around the taps. No safe either although there is a safety deposit box at reception. Walls are thin....you can enjoy your neighbours conversations, tv selection et al.
Great beds though, housecleaning up and at it quite early. Staff very helpful. Room service prompt, quite tasty and reasonably priced. Free WiFi in the lounge. Location is great obviously 2 tubes (1 at 250m and 1 at 750), 2 stops from Westfield shopping mall, great Italian Zizzi at 500m.
As I stated at the start, this hotel has a lot going for it but I just missed some dotted i's and crossed t's.
We also forgot something when we checked out and only discovered this back home. Just wondering if they'll let us know something was found.
I would not recommend this hotel to my friends as I know my friends but if you're after a no-frill stop-over in London it will suffice although there are better out there.

Booked through your company, staff were very polite. Hotel 5 minute taxi from Paddington Station. Hotel was in a great location, right opposite Kensington Park (although palace was closed for renovation). Easy walk through the park to the Royal Albert Hall and then through into Hyde Park where the Diana memorial water feature is. You can sit by the river and have a cup of tea, that was lovely. Oxford Street again was just a quick taxi drive away and Selfridges is a must as they now have a whole floor dedicated to shoes - every womens heaven!! Took a trip to Covent Garden where we sat and watched the street entertainment, then onto the theatre to see Lion King.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 :
I booked at Ramada Hyde Park having previously stayed there and had a good experience. I think the hotel offers great value for money (if you get a deal). The location is good, easily accessible by bus or tube, and also only across the road from Hyde Park which is great for a walk. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the concierge who had good travel advice. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very enjoyable. The restaurant was busy when we first arrived and staff seemed a little overwhelmed, but they were always friendly and helpful. It soon quietened down though and we had a good breakfast. I thoroughly recommend this hotel if you want to visit London for a weekend. I will definitely look to stay there again on my next visit.
