Rated 4 out of 5:
Only stayed very briefly for one night as we had a family event in the area the next day. Efficient and polite reception and waiting staff and a charming atmosphere. Rooms were well appointed. Our only slight complaint was lack of hot water for showers in the morning. Overall a good place to stay for us and our teenage children.

Rated 5 out of 5:
The staff were magnificent; our room excellent; the breakfasts delicious; the swimming pool a delight as were the extensive and beautifully maintained grounds.

Rated 3.5 out of 5:
The stay was reasonable for the money I paid although if i had paid normal rate it would represent poor value. The room was good but nothing really special. Hotel grounds were very nice and staff were ok too.<br />Big disappointment was the breakfast. Pretty awful buffet, my rate had it inclusive but no excuse. If i had paid for it @ £15 I would have been horrified. No menu, no choices, standard worse than a transport cafe.

Rated 4 out of 5:
The 1705 manor is beautifully presented and magnificently maintained. The surrounding lawns and gardens were equally as impressive. The dining options included a restaurant or the adjoining lounge. The rooms were comfortable, although small with a double bed. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Room Tip: As there are no lifts, a room on a lower floor may benefit some travellers.

A Ramada Ascot, Royal Berkshire guest gave the hotel 4 out of 5 and wrote:
Stayed at the Royal Berkshire last weekend after spending the day at Ascot Races. The hotel was just 1.5 miles from the Races so ideal after a busy day. The rooms were lovely and the grounds were just beautiful to strole around as the weather was great. We ate in the restaurant in the evening, the food was mainly presented well and tasty. A couple of problems where desserts hadn't been heated through properly but on the whole a good meal. On checking out we found extra drinks added to our bar bill so do check. We have noticed on previous reviews this does happen. All in all we had a super weekend and certainly would recommend staying here.

A hotel gust gave the stay 5 out of 5:
This was a last minute find when the hotel we had booked in Windsor would not accept dogs due to incorrect information published on the booking website. Fate is a wonderful thing as it forced us to have to find a per friendly hotel at the last minute and I will choose to stay at the Royal Berkshire in future. The team are all friendly and helpful, lovely breakfast and all in a scenic setting. The hotel grounds are wonderfully kept and it is possible to sit ouside the bar/restaurant area when the weather is good so if you have a dog with you it's perfect. The standard of the rooms is superb. The only quibble I had was that we stayed during the exceptional hot weather and the room and moreso the corridor teemperatures were stifling but they did what they could with the provision of the fans and we didn't let it spoil our stay as otherwise the standards and service were A1. We arrived late and had room service food which was of an excellent standard and reasonable price for this quality standard of hotel. The portions were also very generous. Altogether a gem of a hotel.
