Rated 5 out of 5:
Stayed recently at The Rembrandt after getting disappointed with another hotel I used to stay at during my trips to London. Before making the reservation I made several inquiries through email since it was a special occasion for me and my wife and was always promptly answered in a very friendly and polite way.
Booked a double standard room for five nights and despite arriving at the hotel at midday (therefore before check in time) was able to check in and best of all : they offered me an upgrade to an executive room, which was extremely nice, quiet, recently refurbished and very spacious for London standards. Housekeeping was very efficient and did not disturb us at any moment. Bathroom was very large, with modern fixtures plus a shower and a bathtub !
The free cable internet access, plus the included breakfast really makes a huge difference. Breakfast was served in a very pleasant space, with plenty of options and places to sit, and the people working there are simply wonderful.
Special thanks to Ms. Chido Bhila who was very nice and made a difference during my reservation process.
The Rembrandt now is my place to stay in London. Perfect location, two blocks from South Kensington Tube Station, three blocks from Harrods and the elegant Knightsbridge area. Will be back soon !!

Rated 4 out of 5:
We stayed one night in a very spacious room (166). the room was a little shabby and this is the only disadvantage to this hotel: the windows did not open and the view was not a pleasant one with cigarette bites in the roof beneath us. Otherwise this hotel is a very good alternative when you choose to feel the real London, far from the noisy tourist attractions. The breakfast selection was good, and the dining room and bar have a "grand hotel" ambiance. I definitely would consider to come back, in a refurbished room of course.

Rated 5 out of 5:
Excellent accommodation in a very comfortable double bedroom, situated in a pleasant part of south west London close by to museums and harrods. Has good bars and restaurants close by as well as easy access to bus and underground transport.

Rated 3.5 out of 5:
The room, whilst appearing slightly dated, was clean and tidy. (Double) bed was very comfy. Upon checking in, Reception called the room to check everything was ok - a nice touch that some hotels are lacking these days. Breakfast was nice, and lots of choice for the cooked breakfast. The leisure facilities (swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, etc) were ok (had to wait for the one member of staff on duty to return to the desk to sign us in). We were due to check-out at 11, but were still packing our bags, so reception called to remind us that check-out was at 11, and asked if we were having any problems etc - again, a nice touch. If we go back to Weymouth, I would stay at the Rembrandt again.

A guest to the Rembrandt awarded the stay 5 out of 5 saying:
I spent six nights in an Executive Room (a step above "Superior") during September. Initial contact with the hotel was plagued with self-inflicted problems - mainly because I was in a different time zone and work demands meant the dates of my stay kept changing - but staff handled my contacts so well that I felt in safe hands before I had even arrived in the country. My first impressions of the competence and friendliness of staff only improved through-out the visit. I had asked for a quiet room and found myself in a back room without much of a view. It was exceptionally quiet though. The only noise annoyance came from the air-conditioning - which I eventually turned off at night despite the warm weather. The room was not spacious, but I never felt cramped despite the length of my stay. It was also clean, modern and the facilities all worked like they are supposed to. I had breakfast at the hotel each morning and found it to be fine - although the coffee was truly dire (like it is in most of London). Stick to the tea! I also had dinner twice. Dinner was a help-yourself Carvery and certainly wasn't bad, in fact it was much better than most of the over-priced restaurants nearby, but it wasn't outstanding. One place I really can recommend is the creperie near the South Kensington tube station - the food there was excellent and pretty cheap given the location. The only real problem I experienced on my whole visit was with my laundry. As far as I could discover, there was only one laundrette within walking distance - and that was never open. I ended up having to use the hotel laundry which was stingingly expensive. Overall my experience at the Rembrandt was really positive. The facilities are excellent, the location is brilliant and the staff were genuine and helpful. I will definitely stay there again.
