| Rated 4.6 out of 5: The friendly staff were delightfully helpful and the hotel is impeccably clean with upscale decor. The location is good, however, if you plan on being a "tourist", it is a bit of a walk to catch the tour buses or see attractions. Rated 5 out of 5: My husband and I worked at pearl assurance (high holborn) in the late 80's, and it was a trip down memory lane to stay there now it's the superb Renaissance Chancery Court hotel. It always was a beautiful building to work in (especially it's marble staircase) and it's now an elegant and charming luxury hotel! We were fortunate to be upgraded and the staff were intrigued that we used to work there. The hotel is in a perfect location, on the doorstep of the underground, theatreland and Covent Garden. The facilities were first class and we could not fault anything. We visited Madame Tussauds. Rated 4 out of 5: Stayed here in early April with my wife and 2 extended family members. We had two rooms that were adjoining on the 4th floor. This hotel is one of the best I have stayed in in London. The hotel is in great shape, has great restaurants, bar, and rooms. Rooms are very spacious for London. We were lucky enough to snag a rate of stay 2 nights, get one night free and free breakfast each day. This was a steal for London, especially with the free breakfast each day. Hotel is just a few minutes walk from the Holborn tube stop. Very easy to get to all the sites, Covent Garden, Piccadilly, etc. You are basically next tot he West End. Plenty of pubs and restaurants right out the hotel front door. You are also next to the Bloomsbury district and the British Museum. Excellent hotel in a great location in London. Too bad they are dropping out of the Marriott family in June. A Hotel guest rated this hotel 5 out of 5 and commented: Recently stayed at the Renaissance Chancery Court Hotel whilst staying in London to see Joseph at the Adelphi Theatre. The hotel was fabulous. Very opulent and luxurious with extremely helpful staff, beautifully decorated bedrooms and a superb breakfast. The show was amazing. The star of the show is Lee who won the BBC1 show Any Dream Will Do and the production was "amazing" and is definitely a must see. Dinner in Covent Garden afterwards was a treat as the whole area was buzzing and it was the same the following day when dabbling in a spot of shopping. All round a truly SUPER break!!! |
