A Lancaster Hotel London guest gave the accommodation 5 out of 5:
My husband and I booked to stay at the Lancaster for our 1st Wedding Anniversary and we are so glad that we did. We arrived at the hotel at 1.00pm and after a short wait we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist. She kindly checked to see if our room was ready for us-which it was and we were escorted to it by another lovely receptionist. When we entered the room it had been decorated with balloons for our Anniversary and they had left us a bottle of Champagne on ice with chocolate covered strawberries too! Such a lovely thought. The room was a good size, spotlessly clean with a fantastic view of not only the city but of Hyde Park too which was lovely. We were on the 14th floor so we could see everything right to the London Eye and Buckingham Palace. Great at night when it was all lit up! The bed was huge and extremely comfortable with the nicest pillows I have ever slept on! We had also been left a card inviting us to a complimentary afternoon tea which we had on the second day there. Again very nicely presented with a great choice of different things to eat. We had dinner in the Island restaurant on our Anniversary and we were presented with a complimentary glass of Champagne there too! The food was beautiful and all the staff wonderful. We found the concierge incredibly helpful and always helped us out with directions when we needed them! All in all the hotel is superb and all the staff are a credit to the place. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the Lancaster to anyone and hope to go back there again soon. They made our special weekend very memorable. (Oh and we went to see Thriller Live at the Lyric theatre while we were there- Brilliant!! If you get the chance-go!!)

Good breakfast. Larger than usual European hotel rooms. Newly refurbished. Right next to the Lancaster Gate tube station and 3 blocks from Paddington Station with 2 more lines, also with four different bus lines across the street. Was there for 7 nights with a tour group. Would go back. Have no idea about cost.

The hotel is very nice, easy location from the tube, our room had a wonderful view over London and Hyde Park. We had a meal in the hotel restaurant on the Friday night which we enjoyed. Breakfast is excellent with a good choice. Saturday we managed to watch two shows - Jersey Boys and Blood Brothers both excellent.

I was very pleased with the service from the start at check in, through to my departure. Anything i needed staff on the other end of the phone could help. The heating seemed to not kick in straight away, someone was not long into our room to sort this out. It just ended up needing some time to kick in. The hotel is in the perfect place to get out and about to all the right places. I would book the Lancaster again when coming down to London.

review: I give this hotel full marks for the staff and everybody else in the hotel had a great time best hotel i have been in a long time will come again and reccomend to anyone else thanking you for everything you and your staff have done happy new year.
