Rated 3.8 out of 5:
I particularly liked our twin bedroom on our first overnight stay on 3rd March. The room was spacious, airy with plenty of storage space and a very good view from the window.
On our second stay on 5th March we had a less than perfect room. it was smaller and a bit cramped, and the bathroom wash basin had a faulty tap and waste pipe which did not work.

Rated 4.5 out of 5:
I stayed at the Saint Georges Hotel for 1 night before going to the Piccadilly Theatre for a show with my husband .We found the location suited us perfectly with a short walk to the Theatre and plenty of eateries nearby. The room was of a good standard with a decent sized TV and good views across the London skyline. We would certainly use this Hotel again.

My wife and I planned a short trip to the UK to see a concert at the O2. As we was on a budget we opted for a B&B rate at the Saint Georges. I last stayed at the hotel in 1990 so had no idea what to expect. Ok, so you cannot ignore the fact that its getting on a bit. Lots of marks on walls and minor damage to furniture. It needs a tidy up. But the staff are a credit to the hotel. Professional and friendly. Our room was ready when we arrived, think it was 1117, the room, not when we arrived ! It was far away from the elevators so no noise. It was also off the main corridor so no passing traffic at all. The room was small, but had everything you could ask for. We used the mini fridge for our own groceries !
What you cannot find fault in, well we didn't, was the Heights restaurant on the 15th floor, the breakfast was superb. I had the full English every day and loved the sausages.
They also give you a voucher for a free drink in the bar when you arrive.
We arrived back after the concert at around midnight, so no restaurants open and no room service except for sandwiches, instead the receptionist produced some menus for delivery and took our order. It arrived within 30 minutes ( 5 Star hotels take note!) and was very tasty.
So what's the big win with the hotel? LOCATION !!! it's next door the BBC Broadcasting house, you step out of the lobby and am immediately on Regent Street. Turn left and the road is full of great cafes, sandwich bars and if desperate a McDonalds. Boots is just along a bit for those last minute things you forget. We walked everywhere from here, Carnaby Street, Bond Street (credit card still recovering) and up to Hyde Park.

I will be using it again for sure. Think three star and you won't be disappointed.

Heights restaurant had wonderful views of the city. Hotel lifts need a bit of attention. It took 3 attempts to get to our room on floor 11. Ending up on floor 9 back to reception, up to restaurant and back down to reception before finally arriving on correct floor.

Date stayed: October 2007
review: Very run down look and feel. Staff rude. Room fittings faulty.
I understood b/fast incl at £150 p.n. for a twin room but was told not and current price £200 p.n. for a twin. So perhaps I should feel lucky at such a bargain !!
Great location and views. I am sure one could do much much better. The hotel was wonderful when we last stayed there some 12 years ago. However lots of reasonable and good pubs and dining options close by. If you stay here no need to give them an extra penny in the bar etc.
