Rated 4.6 out of 5:
I really liked the room - we were given a room with 2 queen beds. Lovely bathroom great supply of bathing products. Nice touch with glasses ready with napkins, mixer sticks and bottle opener beside minibar. Lovely pool with great surroundings in tropical style. Bit overlooked though.
The only minor gripe is that at check in there were lots of problems with the booking and prices although this was resolved fine. Plus pool was quite overlooked with the corridors around it looking in - felt a bit too open plan for us to want to get in!

Rated 4.5 out of 5:
The purpose of our stay near Heathrow was as a convenient stopover in between our days at Thorpe Park and Legoland. As is becoming more and more common these days, we were 'Staycation'-ing in the UK for our holiday this year. As a Yorkshire lass, I was keen to see what both these Southern attractions had to offer, and Heathrow hotels are ideally situated to explore them both. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were promptly checked in to our room which was clean, spacious, soundproof and had one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept on. The pool area/bar was so beautiful and tranquil. It would make an ideal environment for families with small children as it allows the parents a relaxing environment from which to supervise from - and all the foliage certainly made me forget I was in a rainy Heathrow, it would be perfect to extend that real holiday feeling you so easily lose after a long flight. As we were on holiday, we decided to treat ourselves to a meal in the hotel restaurant rather than the Sports Bar. We were slightly disappointed that it was a buffet that night, rather than selecting from the menu, but we ate there anyway. The food itself was lovely, although the selection wasn't that varied. However, there was a Pasta Bar where the chef cooked pasta dishes to order, although neither of us chose this option, it was certainly popular with other guests and looked delicious. The following morning, we filled ourselves up with a delicious full English breakfast, checked out and headed to Legoland. The drive was only a short distance so we had maximum time there. (Which was a good job, because I absolutely loved it and had to be practically dragged away at the end of the day!)

Rated 4.5 out of 5:
We were just two of the many thousands affected by Heathrow runway closures and, after planning for many months to spend Christmas Day with our daughter and her family in Scotland, the only fight available to us from our home in Cape Town arrived on Christmas morning - and not one single connecting flight that day - so we spent the day and night at the Sheraton Skyline and enjoyed a slap up lunch and very early night in one of the best hotel beds we've ever had. An unusual Christmas Day for us - but one we're sure to remember!

Rated 3 out of 5:
I stayed at this establishment in the context of a business trip in the region. The hotel is a typical airport-hotel and is in an overall good conditions. Weak points are the following:
I had reserved a king-bed and got a room with 2 doubles ; the restaurant by the pool is mediocre with beverages served in plastic cups. The cuisine is a weak attempt at French cooking and was extremely disappointing.

A Sheraton Skyline guest gave the hotel 4 out of 5 and wrote:
First off, we didn't choose this hotel, it was given to us very reasonably in a package including flights and a car. So we took it. But, as the other recent reviewers say, the problem with this property is the current management and the hit-or-miss service one gets. I booked two rooms and requested in my booking that they be adjoining. I thought that the electronic booking (through a third-party travel site) might not make it to the hotel, so I even called them long-distance to make sure the request was there. "Oh, yes," said the clerk, "I show here that you have two adjoining rooms." Problem was, when we got there, they weren't adjoining and the night manager kept asking me to whom I had spoken. Of course, I don't assume incompetence when I call a hotel, so I hadn't gotten the person's name. ***Tip 1--if you talk to anyone at this property, note the time and their name. You might need to.*** The manager promised us (and indeed delivered) adjoining rooms for the next night. They were held for us until very late in the evening when we returned to the hotel. The porter was offered to help move us. The new rooms were OK, but again had small problems. The mini bar had clearly been used by the previous occupants and had not been resealed. So I went back downstairs and watched the clerk as she typed into the computer that we had reported this and that we had not and would not use anything from the mini bar. ***Tip 2--if you think that you may be charged for something someone else used, go to the front desk in person and note the discrepancy.*** Before our first day out, I called downstairs and asked what the easiest way to the Tube station would be. I was told to hope on the £4/person "Airport Hoppa" bus that comes every 15 minutes and take it to Heathrow to board the Tube there. But this didn't match with the information I had previously gotten when I called, so I tried again in person with the concierge. "No, no," he said, "you don't have to do that. Take the free bus to Hatton Cross station!" He gave me a pre-printed slip of paper that had on it the numbers of three public busses that run every 10 minutes or so to Hatton Cross. The fare is free. Hatton Cross is on the Piccadilly Line and gets you downtown in 30-40 minutes. We made this trip twice a day with small children and it was a breeze. The bus stop is just yards from the hotel (in front of the next-door Marriott) and the trip to the Tube station takes 10 minutes or less. ***Tip 3--get the concierge to give you the slip with the free busses to Hatton Cross instead of paying for the Airport Hoppa. Hatton Cross is closer to downtown than the Heathrow stations anyway. Last bit: A lot of the other reviewers complain of the price of the breakfast. It's true: £17 is exorbitant for eggs, bacon, sausage and beans on toast. ***Tip 4--Instead, turn right after coming out of the hotel and walk two blocks to the nearest McDonald's*** We fed a family of five every morning for roughly £14--less than the price of one hotel breakfast. If you want something "English" instead of the found-everywhere choices, try the bacon roll with brown sauce. The good: If the service were dependable, this hotel would have a lot to recommend itself. The rooms are spacious and new. There are lots of little amenities--a multi-region power jack for your laptop in the desk--for instance--with a British, North American and Continental European plug. (Just pull up on the silver ring you see on the corner of the desk top.) Big flat-screen TVs. Nice new bathrooms and Sheraton's well-known terry robes. The Sports Bar restaurant isn't a deal, but it isn't overpriced either--especially for a hotel restaurant. And the staff there are pleasant and helpful. The pool area is nice as well. And the fitness centre is 24-hours. Other plusses: Free Internet access in the business centre. I elected not to bring my laptop and to try the free computers and found everything worked without a hitch. Bottom line: If you can wring consistent service and information out of the staff, you'll find this hotel to be extremely comfortable and larger than you'll find downtown for the price. And you will find that the trip downtown easy and convenient--in our case, even for a family with two small children.
