Rated 3.8 out of 5:
I found the location of the hotel to be excellent, about a five minute walk from Baker St underground station, which is connected the the circle line, making transport throughout the city effortless. The hotel also has a feeling of class and luxury about it. The hotel decor is modern with contemporary touches and finishes throughout. Staff were pleasant throughout and service was friendly.
We stayed in spring time, late March. So temperatures were not winter temperatures, although the heating system in the room was still set for winter. It stated that during winter it only produced warm air, during summer cold air. Ours seemed to have a mind of its own and despite being turned off would come on by its self during the night making the room unbearably warm. Then despite being the weekend we were woken by the noise of other guest's doors banging on each morning from around 7am onwards, meaning that we got very little sleep during our stay and looked forward to getting home for a rest. Another slight negative and just a personnel dislike would have to be the glass sliding door of the ensuite bathroom. It provides much too little privacy for my liking, there might as well not have been a door there at all. Finally the concierge could have been a little more helpful, fine on arrival however stood and watched us struggle out through the doors with our luggage on our departure.

Rated 5 out of 5:
Stayed in the Sherlock Holmes for one night with my daughter who is studying in London and since it was her birthday I wanted to surprise her with a stay in a hotel. On check-in I told the receptionist that we were celebrating my daughters birthday and she immediately upgraded us to an executive suite and threw in a free breakfast for us both too. The hotel is absolutely immaculate and the staff can't do enough for you, I would definitely stay there again and will recommend to it to all.

Rated 4 out of 5:
After reading a few reviews on here about poor rooms , poor food and service charges being charged to a self service breakfast I was a little anxious about my stay. There was no need to be. The hotel was great for me and my partner.
It has a reasonable priced carpark right behind it, plenty of good restaurants near by and right by Madam Tussards.
The hotel isn't huge but looks the part and the main bar as you enter is very nice and often had people enjoying a drink who were not staying there.
The room we stayed in was spotless and plenty big enough for two adults.
Breakfast was very good. We only had the continental breakfast but there was three cooked items with this, sausage, scrambled eggs and beans both days with all the other self serve items you expect. Don't think you need to pay the extra for the full english if I'm honest.
We didn't try any other meals but food we saw coming out looked very nice. The bar prices were a little expensive but perhaps thats because I'm a tight welsh man.
The bar manager was superb an very friendly and after I had used my vocuhers for " buy 1 beer get 1free" he still did me the offer.
Overall good hotel with some great staff and in a pretty good location. Tidy

A guest of the hotel rated it 5 out of 5 and said:
We had 2 nights here for my husbands 4oth birthday and the hotel was fantastic, really good location, easy to get to from baker street station and within walking distance to oxford street ,regent street and Madame Tussauds. We checked in with ease and found the room with no problems. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and we were impressed with the bathroom. The continental breakfast was ok with lots of choice. We enjoyed the bar and service was excellent there, the staff were friendly and made you feel relaxed, we would go back to the hotel again.
